I can't recall if I posted this up back when, but here it is now. Well, my family switched over to new cellphones. So what to do with the old call-droppers? Hmmmm......
The phones in original condition.
First one, after a few 230gr .45ACP rounds.
Second, after a 20 ga. #7 birdshot round.
After a couple more rounds of shot.
Great fun, and a good way to kill an afternoon. The .45 didn't do ask much damage to the phone as I expected, the low velocity bullet and light target weight meant that the phone would bounce over on impact, and the bullet couldn't penetrate. The 20ga bird rounds made short work of the phones from 25-30 away. BTW yes I realize that we could have donated the phones to any of the battered women's organizations, or for 911 only uses, but they just weren't reliable anymore. The signal strength was junk, even brand-new batteries died in mere hours, and various parts were falling off. And given the number of times they dropped a call, I felt a measure of revenge was in order.....
