Mine is all Walther - rifle, optics, mount, bipod, sling swivels. She's pretty accurate with S&B HP HV ammo.

Optics mount is one piece, solid steel, fast to take off and put on. And puts the optics into right place for proper eye relief, so I don't have to lean in anymore.

Bipod is also all steel and seems pretty rugged to me. It allows movement in all three dimensions - rotation, canting, nose up/down. And it can be folded either way, forward or backward. On sides it has 2 small rails for light.

Now there's only one thing this rifle lacks - suppressor (maybe Walther's SD22, to keep up the all-german style).

My 2 personal favorites of my rimfires are:

J.C Higgins .22lr (checkering and white lines done by my father, he got the gun as a teenager from his father as a Christmas present)
jchiggins.gif

Marlin 25MN .22 mag (just plain fun, and a little something "extra" over .22lr)

cmidkif, I'm thinking about buying that rifle in .22 mag. How's the accuracy? I wish Savage would make that rifle in .22 LR so it would be cheaper to shoot.

My 2 rifles...The Marlin 25n is one of my favorites, accurate, light, and balanced. Ive bedded it, floated the barrel, and put in an aftermarket trigger.

The 10-22 has had trigger work done, and an exteded mag release. Ive got a red dot on it now.
Ive also got a 22/45 I love.

My favorite is my Kimber .22 Hunter w/ Leupold VX-II 3-9x40mm, as given to me by my wife on our wedding day:

Accuracy is good, considering the nut behind the bolt... around 0.75" @ 100 yards from a bench, using just the bipod.

I had it at a longer range last fall, and was shooting at clay pigeons out at 280 yards with excellent results.

I'd not buy one in .22lr, I like auto-loaders in that caliber. I want a little more reach when I sit down at a bench. Just personal opinion, but I like the .17HMR caliber fine for what I use this rifle for. My 'other' long distance target rifle is in .204ruger, same idea, much longer range.

How about my Mueller equipped, 1968 Savage Anschutz .22LR single shot. 39 years old and it still puts 10 rounds into the same hole at 50 yards.:D

10/22 with Tech Sights. Nothing more and plenty accurate for what I need it for.

How do you like those Tech Sights? I've been thinking about picking up a pair (for my 10/22 and SKS) to improve my iron shooting.

Medusa, how do you like that Walther? How much did you spend for the gun as well as the other accessories? It looks great? Good thread!

Here are my rimfire babies.

The left one is a Winchester model 150 and the one on the right is an earlier Marlin model 60. The 150 is wearing a Leaper's 3-9x40 scope and the model 60 has a standard BSA 4x15.
The Marlin also has the squirrel motif and the wood was redone by my brother. It almost looks like curly maple the way it came out. It shows a good deal of chatoyance when you move the stock around in the light.

I like them. There was a small improvement on the grouping but the real benefit was actually being able to see the sights while in the woods. The one downside is the front sight sits alittle funny on the barrel. The dovetail is made slightly small for easy assembly and uses a tension screw.

Dont have any pics but ill tell about them. I have two 40th Anniversary Ruger 10/22's with consecutive serial #'s. Also have a Winchester 9422 in magnum. I really want to ad a CZ and some military trainer to the collection.

It's a good gun, gets the job done. I use it in DM training, so it's pretty accurate (1 moa). It surprisingly shoots Sellier&Bellot HP HV (390 m/s) ammo better than most of anything else.

And you CAN do some trigger job yourself.

It's easily manoeverable, since the center of mass is right above the pistol grip. Theoretically it would be easy to shoot it one handed. Small drawback is that it's not ambi - the charging handle moves with each shot, so putting a right-hand gun on a left shoulder would result in getting your teeth smashed in. I'd personally prefer that the handle wouldn't move directly with the bolt, thus I could put on a M16 style case deflector.

Scope is 4x32, mildot type, pretty clear and suitable for the rifle. Also it looks just right on the rifle, with the rubber covering and all.

Prizes? I don't live in the US as you can see, so I'd say in the US it's a little cheaper.

Rifle - 600$, scope mount 80$, scope 100$, bipod 70$, sling swivels 15$, will-be suppressor 100-300$

If you're considering buying it and want more details, then PM.

Hey Rembrandt, those rifles of yours do match the name - they are pieces of art and look like that. I like the top 2. :)

Parts: VQ hammer, buffer, automatic bolt release. Eagle extended magazine release. Hogue overmolded stock. Green Mountain 16" fluted carbon steel barrel. Weaver rail, Burris Zee rings, Simmons 22Mag scope. Pretty light and reliable package. Shoots VERY well.:D
