I have seen a number o graceful semi autos out there and I would like your opinions (with pictures of course) of what you like. I am thinking of some of the older berettas or the Sig p210. Include 1911's if you feel like it, I do not deny their timeless aesthetics but we have all seen a lot of those.

I submit this beretta 81 as an example

I'd prefer the same without the engraving - it just doesn't do anything for me. 800px-BFR_45-70_1.jpg

I would definitely have to nominate this even though its not an auto :uhoh:

I always liked the Ruger Bearcat, just for looks. Everything else is just guns to me. An engraved hammer is just an engraved hammer, even if its a hundred years old and belonged to my great grandpa or something. If I can't use it to drive nails, its no good. Thats just how guns are to me, except for the Bearcat for some reason.

I can't post the photos myself, and I won't steal bandwith by posting someone else's, but my vote goes to the following, in order:

1) Remington Model 51
2) Browning Hi-Power
3) The original CZ 75, with the shorter slide rails (the current one really is ugly, if you as me)
4) The 1911
5) The Mauser HsC (I don't like the gun particularly, the one I used to have jammed a lot, and bit the $&#& out of the web of my hand, but it's a fantastic looking gun).
8) The Luger
7) The S&W Model 41
8) The Auto Mag
9) The SIG P210
10) The Walther PP

Seconds on the Mauser HsC. I saw one at the local GS that was an Italian contract gun with beautiful bluing. I was really really close to trading for it...

The nickel Browing BDA 0.380 is pretty too.

The .44 Automag is tops in my book. No this one isn't mine, but I wish it was.

+1 on the BHP. There are some gorgeous pistols out there, but even the factory-spec BHP has a simple elegance that others can't quite match. That said, my runners-up would be the Beretta Cheetah and the Mateba Autorevolver (which would depend on what you mean by "auto").

Browning Medalist

I have a Browning Medalist .22 auto, which went out of production about 30 years ago. I always thought it was one of the most attractive semiautos I have seen:

And another one that appeals to me is my Sig P226 in electroless nickel with cocobolo wood grips:

There are too many beautiful revolvers out there to not include them. Throw those in too.

Two timeless classics, in design, style, and performance: The Beretta Model 70S and the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife.

There are so many beautiful autos out there but the x-five tops my list.

For me it's the Browning HP and the Beretta model 1934.

The best looking handgun of all time may be the Colt 1861 Navy.

I've never had any luck posting photos, but here goes nothing:
