Don't forget to copy and paste the link so that all the referral stats don't trace back to thehighroad.org.

Three quarters of a million votes and it's 97% in favor of the 2nd protecting an individual right. Ballot stuffing or is the populous more sensible than I thought?

Amazing.97 % yes from USA Today.
Just added my vote.Has to be some ballot stuffing Jesse.I have never seen a poll where more than 75% of the respondents were pro 2A.
To get Americans to agree on 97% of anything is almost impossible.

If the whole address were posted, we could cut and paste instead of simply having to click on the link.

I don't see the poll on that link, just comments.

Note that the poll didn't ask whether people supported an individual right to keep and bear arms - merely whether they thought the second amendment recognized one.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PEOPLE - When posting a link to a poll, DO NOT post a live link! The people running the poll can trace where the click-throughs come from, and if they see a large amount of traffic coming from one specific site (ie THR) they could render the results invalid.

Please, PLEASE just give us something that we can copy-paste. It might seem like no big deal, but if we're going to try to change things, we need to do it in such a way that we won't get shut down.

"Does the 2nd amendment give...."

Well, the correct answer to that question would be "No".

Since the bill of rights doesn't "give" anything, it protects rights we naturally have.

However, I think the semantics of "give" and "protect" are lost on the anti's

1 This sort of poll is invalid anyway because there is no control and there is no way to prevent someone from voting twice.

2 If they don't like the results, they can just ignore them, even if the poll is valid.

They should read the 2A and make a correctly worded question, such as:

Does the second amendment protect the individuals right to keep and bear arms?
It's not giving us anything. Our Creator gave us that right. It's just restricting the gov't from infringing on it (which the gov't doesn't seem to understand either).

The result are already invalid. Web polls mean nothing.

97% yes out of 755,695 votes total.

Wow, thats a lot. Based on the "yes" results,I would have thought the total to be fairly low, but with that many votes, it seems encouraging that the results are not just from us piling on the poll. could be wrong, but unless a bunch of you are going and voting thousands of times, it seems fairly legit. Maybe there is hope for this country yet.
