I found this on another site:

Compare these two links. The Stoeger 2000 is assembled in Turkey and the Franchi I-12 is assembled in Italy. The I-12 has a pretty exterior, the 2000 is a plain jane utility gun.

Check out the innards:

Other than the exterior, can you tell the difference? I can't.

There is $400 difference? I don't think so! You can buy a lot of ammo and hunting gear for that kind of money!

Unquote.

Opinions? Comments? I've kind of thought that the only difference is that the Franchi is assembled with union labor and the Stoeger is assembled using cheap labor.

Would you rather hug up to an Italian vixen or a Turkish wench at bedtime.
I THOUGHT SO.....:neener:
A friend recently bought the Franchi I-12 after using my Pintail and Extrema; talked to him yesterday about trading a 390ST I have for a Franchi 912 ....... his exact words were keep the beretta and don't get the Franchi.
He doesn't know the 912 is gas operated, I didn't know the I-12 was recoil operated.
He want's me to let him look at the 912 and might buy it from me, after I trade for it.
I'd get a used extrema, if I was looking for a new semiauto.
