I would vote for a 3 inch SP101 ...light enough to carry and can be loaded
with enough punch to take down any 2 leg animal out there...plus they are made like a panzer tank.
Close second would be a Smith Model 19?... 3 inch its a damn shame they dont make it anymore.:cuss:
I would take my Colts but since they dont make them anymore either and getting harder to find nice copies I took them off the list. I just could not carry one everyday....do worried about dropping it,stolen..etc.
If I dropped my 4 inch Diamondback I would probably cry then puke...or both.:cuss:

My stainless Ruger Bisley in .45 LC. Load from mild to wild for all areas of the spectrum.

It's not made, but if it were, it'd be a Pre-lock S&W "L" frame, 5 shot, "Mountain Gun" style (lightweight), with a 4.5" bbl, in .45 Colt. P&R of course. Could take out hamsters to humans to hippos with the right loading and right shot, and conceal nicely while doing it.

DR, one's "Dream Revolver" is not *necessarily* the same as "if you HAD TO pare down to just a single revolver". But good link nevertheless. :)

steveno - cannot argue with you. The 41 on the M57 is my fav.
My Pyhton's run a close second.

I will go with your choice

I have the SP101 and I can not think of a better choice for an all around hand gun. Light enough yet tough enough to get the job done. It is well worth the money and beautifully proportioned and well designed.

1) S&W Model 27 with a 5" barrel...wide target hammer and trigger....

2) Colt Python, nickel finish, 4" barrel
