Pics of your gun that stays by the computer

Sorry I am not paranoid enough to have a gun by the computer in my computer room. I keep them all in my gun room in the basement. I do have a single shot 12GA under my bed in my bedroom however. My dog Izzie does patrols. But that is it.

S&W M15 4", Speer Gold dot 125gr .38 spl. I also happen to have my safe in the same room, so I've got access to all the other heavier weaponry in a matter of seconds if need be.

Only a true armchair commando would have a designated computer gun.

Just when you think the internet is not just for geeks, someone starts a thread like this LOL

I think CCing everywhere legal "is" a good idea, even at home, and doesn't include leaving loaded guns laying around anywhere, including beside computers.

My computer gun is a Colt Commander... or whatever I happen to be carrying that day. So often it's either a G26, or a P228.

Pistol? Don't need that.;) I have a Katana sitting next to my desk on my bookshelf within arms reach. Its not one of those crappy QVC $100 specials either, this is a real Katana and quite capable of cutting someone in half. If this were the edo period I'm sure it would be rated at least a 2-3 person blade.:D

A Katana although a formidable weapon in the right hands is not a better weapon than a firearm. I have been trained with a sword, I made it to blue belt in Aikido, but I would feel rather out matched going against a handgun or shotgun with a Katana.

I couldn't resist being a contrarian, I knew someone was going to say that.:D

Naturaly you don't want to bring a knife/sword to a gunfight.

I spy what I think is a Kel-Tec in the upper right corner of the desk. It does look kinda small for a P3AT, so maybe a P32?

Right on the first guess.

Its my deep-conceal/summer shorts/BUG and when I'm not carrying it, it hangs out on the desk.

I agree with wrs840, leaving loaded guns lying about is not the best of ideas. Even if you don't lock them up, at least stash them where a burglar won't find them on a quick rummage. The Kel-Tec goes in a small quick-access lockbox when i'm not home or its not being used for a while.

My computer(s) are a long ways from where my guns are in this house. Its not a huge house, but is a 2 story with finished basement (so, really a 3 story) house.
I've actually thought about getting a cheap shotgun and keeping it behind my desk. An old beat up riot gun or something.

My gun safe happens to be right next to my computer desk...

Back in the days before the safe lived next to the computer, I kept my Makarov hidden in one of the drawers, as one of only 2 firearms that were kept outside of the safe (the other being my 20ga shotgun)

kimber45acp,,, Isee your firearm is below a picture a child drew and gave you, my first thought was that isnt a safe place for a firearm with children about.
