Finally got my grail AR. Knights announced they will be suspending all commercial sales on 7/1 to focus solely on .mil orders for a while. Stumbled across a good price on a new SR15 E3 Mod 1 upper and jumped. Here she is. Larue LT606 light mount is otw for my Surefire.

Edited to add: This one is the only the second one I've seen here that WILL let you operate the safety with the hammer down. You'll also notice the position of the safety in these pictures.

My MR556 is on page 1 (post #6).. Love he rifle HkGuns. You need to try the new Hk Polymer Magazine.. They are freaking awesome.... $20 on their webshop.

I am about a hundred & thirty series numbers ahead of you... Brother, you don't know how nice it is to see another Hk on here.. I fell in love with these rifles. Here is a pic of mine now with the Poly-mags.. Actually thought about having he barrel re-profiled to an M4 14.5" but quickly changed my mind. I have a buddy working on replicating an Hk barrel. I am hoping he figures the extension and whatnot out. I will have him have a 10.5 and actually go SBR.

Which sling is that Charile and what did you do for the forward sling mount? I'm just starting to accessorize mine and have decisions to make. I ordered the flip front from the web shop and haven't decided on optic, or not yet. I haven't shot it yet, but will be doing that next weekend. This is an extremely solidly built rifle and I looked for it for around six months at an acceptable price.....Although acceptable is a matter of perspective I suppose.

It does look good with the poly mags...Kind of G36ish.

I will readily admit those H&K 5.56 rifles are a work of science and art. Very nice.

Thanks OilyPablo, they run pretty sweet IMHO. The recoil is a little different. It is more of a jolt, but is straight back.

@HkGuns, here is the sling mount I bought for the rail. I mounted it all the way back on the left rail. I picked it because of the push button quick release. It comes in handy. The sling is a Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Application Sling (padded). As far as optics, look at the LaRue website. They make mounts that give a perfect co-witness for the Hk sights. The Aimpoint PRO is my favorite.

Great minds think alike...lol.. Seriously, if I can ever help just ask. Hk fans are few and far between.

here is one more thing you might want to try. The Hk front sight has an indention in it. If you take phosphorescent paint and fill it in it looks like this... and works good in low light conditions.

Here is mine: PSA build with 20" FN gov't-profile barrel, Burris TAC30 1-4x on a PA Extended mount, KAC 2-600m folding rear sight, ACS-L stock, MOE+ grip, MI-SS Gen 2 free float HG, custom sling.

I like having a free float HG but keeping the front sight attached to the barrel. All my ARs will eventually be set up that way.

Wel henschman, yours fits perfectly with the others. Great looking rifle. It is damn hard to beat an FN barrel. I like the setup with the sight mounted to the barrel.. Makes sense to me.. Great job on it.

Hard to beat, except maybe for a HK barrel, huh? Thanks. Yep, handguard flexes but front sight doesn't... sounded like a good idea to me.

I love your HK. Looks like they came out with a real winner with that MR556. Are you planning on putting an optic on it?

I run an Aimpoint PRO part of the time. But to be honest, I love the Diopter sights...
