What's your "fun gun"

Seriously, only one gun? :( Probably the Mini-14. But the SKS is a lot of fun too! As is the 10-22 Ruger. Then, again pulling out the old 45-70 trap door Springfield is kind of neat too, and I always enjoy the 30-06 Springfield and even more, the 30-40 Krag.

Then there are the pistols. The 1911, the Star model B 9mm, and my favorite, the CZ-52!

I rarely go to the range with just one gun, and even plinking, I often have a couple.

Not into the shotgun sports, but that may change, I have a friend who really loves shooting clays, and he is trying to get me to go with him sometime.

Hello friends and neighbors// Right now, it would be the Winchester 1873, I just got back from the GS.
D.O.M of 1885
Caliber .32-20 (first made available in 1882)

The black marker = incorrect range notes. I though the first round was above the target.(no glasses on) please see the smaller green notes made with glasses on.

After the fifth (four in black) shot, I tried Kentucky windage for 6/7 but adjusted too far.
Shots 8/9/10 are supposed to be in the smaller top left target bull.

Only had 10 rounds with me. 25yards, elbow rest ,at the indoor range, using Black Hills .32-20 @650.

Just can't wait to go back for more with this fun gun.!:D

CMMG .22lr AR pistol I made into an SBR. Way to easy too burn up 500+ rounds in ~30 minutes at the plate rack.

If ammo prices and availability weren't issues...

My AR. It's a DPMS AP4 in 223. I have a Burris Fullfield II mounted on it and it's a blast to shoot!

Either my Remington Model 34 or a Savage Mk1 FVT. The former being made from 33'-35', serial number indicates that it was made about 1934, easily one of my most favorite rifles.

When I invite someone to the range, my always bring gun is my M3 belt-fed 50BMG.Not only does it make them smile, it will literally draw a crowd.

Of course anything in FA would be much more fun...Unfortunatly guns are expensive enough, I don't wanna add another 200 bucks and serious atf wait times... So SA will have to do

What's 200 when your talking 5k-100k+?

Oh and to answer the OP's question

The joy for me is to watch other people shoot my Ruger AC-556 machine gun. Semi, 3 shot burst and full auto that is fitted with the Ruger folding stock.

They are informed that it is a machine gun, so I first have them fire one or two rounds on “semi” so they will experience the soft recoil -- the usual reaction is a nod and “… not bad!”

Then the seledtor goes to 3 shot burst with the instruction not to release the trigger -- this elicits a big smile.

Now full auto -- a wild-eyed, ear to ear grin with eyes searching for another full magazine!

Sometimes I even get to shoot it! :D

To go to the range? I would bring my Mosin Nagant. However, I shoot my Crosman 2400KT more than any other gun I own because I don't have to go the range, I can shoot it in my garage and it cost pennies per round to shoot.

Hmmmm..... I love my home modified WASR AK. Fun recoil, but still very fast with the muzzle brake... And it's my go to HD/WROL/etc etc gun, so every round fired just feels, good I guess. But it's almost too easy...

So I really love my Nagant revolver too... Interesting, cheap, historical, challenging but very rewarding. Making a tight group with that trigger makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

And a part of me just loves pump shotguns, of all types, but a wood stock, and a short barrel will work just fine. So fun to shoot fast, so powerful, and useful...

You ask too hard of questions.

For long guns, it would be hands down the 700 in 7mm RM, but maybe one of the .270 win's, but the 6mm Rem is a heck of a lot of fun too, and lets not forget the 700 in 17 Rem., or maybe the ....... Alright, I guess I'm not capable of picking just one.

For hand guns, I'm going to have to go with the SRH 44 mag., with full tilt jacketed - H110 / 296 loads. Either that or one of the .357 mags will float my boat.

Then there is shotguns. I'm forced to go with any one of my 870's for a day of clay busting fun. 12 ga or 20 ga.. But then again, over the last 10 years I've found a new love for the .410, but more for wing shooting, rather than clay busting actually.

This has been a difficult post for me to comment on. I just have so many different types of recreational shooting I enjoy, so it really depends on which one I feel like doing. To ask us which gun is our most fun to shoot, well, that's just not right.

All joking aside, I would probably have to say one of the high powered rifles is what does it for me, probably one of the 7mm RM's.

Marlin 1894 in 45 colt for me. Gives me that cowboy feeling...
