The 32/20 inserted easily into the Nagant cylinder, and rotated around to the barrel, but lacked about 1/16 " or so to chamber.
I could disassemble the cylinder assembly, starting with the screw over cylinder rod holder, to remove the rod then the cylinder, but I am really antsy about difficult...
I.have examined a Colt 1911, as per the above title, but cannot find any reference to it in the 38th Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values (2017). It is a Series 80 with beautiful shiny bluing, gold inlaying, rosewood grips, and flat mainspring housing. Serial # SFLDA 07xx.
Anybody able to...
Although I have searched for a long time, I have been unable to locate an appropriate sling for my older model 9mm carbine.
Could somebody tell me where to find an easy to install, and inexpensive sling for the above, please.:)
Man, I really like both of my 1895 Russian Nagant wheelguns, but I wish the mainspring was not so stiff !
Does anybody know where I can find a customized main/trigger spring that would allow me to fire it double action ?
I've tried Wolff and Numrich, but no luck.
I have a J.C. Higgins Model 88 revolver, based on the earliest versions of the High Standard Sentinel, probably a R-101 or R-102 (dated about 1955 or 1956).
In 1961 the R-102 added a return spring to the ejector rod, which my Model 88 does not have.
I also have a High Standard Sentinel...
First of all, I'd like to say I'm leaning toward a Taurus 738 TCP .380 ACP.
The Truth About Guns gives an apparently good backing.
What's not to like?
Lightweight, concealable, $200, reliability (per TTAG), proven effective caliber!
My only question is , does it have "double strike"...
When I've been in need of gun parts in the past, I would always get in touch with Numrich Gun Parts.
Nowadays they are often out of stock, contrary to " the good old days ".
Recently I was considering a fixer-upper that lacked a magazine.
Numrich didn't have it. Triple K seemed to be the only...
I have been trying to find some reliable testing reports about the Taurus Spectrum, but to no avail.
Do any of you boys/girls have info about how it performs ?
Thanks.:)
The late great "rc model" once advised that a "custom grip" could be attained using Bondo, and squeezing it around the protected gun with your likewise protected hand.
I was wondering if any of you guys have successfully repaired chipped or otherwise damaged wood, plastic, hard rubber grips ...
I am trying to decide which pocket pistol to buy, based on current available info.
My two most recent contenders are: Ruger LCP II and Remington RM380, both in .380 ACP.
I don't know if Remington is successful in attempting redemption after the R51, or if the RM380 is just another piece of...
1: What is YOUR definition of a Mouse Gun ?
2: Would (do) you use one for primary carry ? Which one ?
3: Same as above, for backup ? Which ?
4: Specify largest and smallest Mouse Gun you would "consider" carrying ?
Thanks for all objective replies .:)
I have owned both. Each have their plus and minus points. Good and bad, not to mention the ugly.
Plenty of differences to make a good discussion.
Please let us not get into the others (M-4, Bull Pup, Kel-Tec, etc.) in this thread (although that might be a good idea for another thread).
It all...
I recently bought a Mauser 1914 .32 ACP since I am a collector/shooter, and had never owned one.
I have not shot it yet, but I've cleaned and oiled it. In the process, I noticed the magazine catch/release is AWFULLY STIFF, especially considering arthritis in my hands.
Is there any remedy for...
An excellent thread, "Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers" was started on 6-21-08 by Moderator Emeritus, Brian Williams. This has been an invaluable source of info for the above stated & titled thread.
Most recently, Radagast has been providing superb information on this subject...
I recently purchased a S&W Combat Masterpiece (Pre-Model 15) .38 Special, 5 screw with very good checkered walnut grips. The timing, tight action, and function all seem nearly perfect.
I have not had the opportunity to shoot it yet.
The only problem, if it might be considered a problem, is...
If you are not confronting any of the above, what predator do you consider the most possible, and what HG would you choose ?
Don't forget this includes autos and wheelguns.
I'd like all who have shot the two above to give their comments on the similarities and differences.
I'm especially interested in the differences in weight (for CCW), and recoil control.
