I just renewed/ purchased my Wisconsin concealed carry license. They made it excessively difficult, tge sight address wasn't same as letter, and then the sight didn't have the option the letter said to use. After clicking on something totally unrelated I found something vaguely related and...
Yesterday I finally saw a Henry revolver in person. It was surprisingly less hideous in person, in fact I kind of liked it. My ffl said the same thing, I guess in this case pictures really don't do it justice.
I just grabbed 525 rounds of Remington golden Sabre 22lr, after being rudely shocked at the price. Every brand was up 5 dollars per 500-550 box in just the last 2 weeks.
Not a chance, unless the laws change, in which you wouldn't be interested any more. I just retired a year ago and hope to enjoy this place for a long time.
Actually it has the exact opposite effect on me, if I'm gonna go through the hassle of filling out forms and getting background checked I'll buy 2 or 3 if I can afford it. I usually buy in spurts, mostly in spring. I've done 3 so far this year and doing another next week. I do sometimes wonder...
I really feel for you, I'm truly blessed living on 6 acres backed up on 100 acres of woods and a ridge that rises a hundred feet in my backyard. Almost daily I step onto my back porch and shoot my 22s at a couple targets 35 yards out. Or I walk 50 yards and shoot at my steel targets. I can only...
Enjoy them while they're still in effect. Since the left purchased a majority on the state Supreme Court, our 2nd amendment freedoms are in jeopardy big time.
For my 2 cents, I'd look for one of the 75th anniversary MK IVs, they're beautiful, look like an original but are easy to clean. My ffl had one but it's for his trap club raffle. It was right at 500 I believe.
The thing is, they're allowing illegals to carry in Chicago. As a licensed concealed carry holder from an adjoining state, I'm NOT allowed. I have to lock my weapon in my vehicle and be helpless against illegals who are allowed to carry.
PSA has Norma MHP 108 grain for 7.99 a box of 20. It's free shipping over 10, so you can't beat the price. At 1312 fps and 413 ft lb of energy, they're worth a shot. They run in my Walther pps m2, and the 45s run in my 1911s.
Wednesday my local ffl ordered a tisas 1911 in 9mm for me, costed me 5 dollars less than if I'd have ordered it from PSA after shipping and transfer. Yesterday I ordered 1,000 rounds of cci 124 grain brass 9mm.
The guys on handgun TV did a test and left the choke tube in for 1 shot. Surprisingly there was no damage to the tube or barrel, but they highly recommend against trying this at home.
Shooting illustrated did an article on one a couple years ago, the accuracy was amazing. At 25 yards it shot smaller groups than so many pistols costing 3 or 4 times as much did at only 15 yards. It's definitely on my short list of guns I want but don't really need.
