Glock 42 : Is it "Glock" reliable ?

I reload .38- for my Glock 42, the only problem I've ever had was with light reloads.

    Cleanest Low Pressure Pistol Powder

If you really want clean, try lead-free primers. https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/experience-with-lead-free-primers-clean.822136/#post-10564890 Titegroup and Shooters World Clean Shot are both clean shooting.

When it’s time to say goodbye

OP I hope you get a good price and the knowledge someone else will be able to enjoy those firearms. At 71 I am blessed with two sons that will be happy to have my collection. I've already given them several things from collection. I was following the advice of an elder to give them away now...

Steyr L9-A2 MF Comp and Red Dot

Great to see the new Steyr pistol. I love my Steyr L9, M40 and M40 converted to .357 SIGs. I did replace the Steyr trapezoid sights with conventional True-Glow sights and the .357 SIG has a Delta red dot in an OuterImpact mount.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

Great for reloading the same powder charge. I use small parts dishes to make it easier to separate the bullets from the powder and they will hold the contents of several pulled rounds.

    Considering getting a Beretta Px4

I'm a fan, I have them in 9mm and .45 ACP both have a Beretta competition trigger assembly installed. I also have a second DAO model in .45 ACP. The standard .45 ACP has the G model safety, it just drops the hammer and maintains the trigger function, it is very accurate and one of my favorite...

Retirement: Shooting more, less, or the same as pre-retirement?

Much more and started reloading again, it's fantastic to be retired.

Listing valuables in will or trust

Absolutely! There are several auction houses with whom you could arrange with to sell your collection to get your family the best return short of selling them individually.

Listing valuables in will or trust

Lucky for me, I have two sons and two grandsons that love firearms. I decided to gift several of my firearms to my sons. It's great to give and I enjoy them receiving and using them while I'm alive. BTW, I got the idea from another shooter that posted it online, I do not recall where, but I...

Anybody use (blue) Lock-Tight on your scope mounts.....

I didn't, but then I had a couple of mounts that loosened up, so now, yes, every screw. I hate mounting scopes, even more I hate dissembling and remounting a scope/mount that has become loose.

    Neighbors

Ahh, horse people, they would drop a baby on a pile of broken glass to go help a horse. Beware, they are more protective of their horses than most parents of their children.

What clever little things have you "invented or discovered" that you can share?

For pouring powder a short wide funnel is very handy. The short taper helps to prevent overfilling and the wide opening is perfect for pouring from 4/8 pound powder jugs. Mine is made by Rhino, but it looks like it now made by Hopkins, their 10703 FloTool Spill Saver Radiator Funnel is the...

    Starting to get irritated

Try seating the bullet farther out. I have a CVA Hunter in .44 Magnum and it has a really deep throat. Longer OAL improved accuracy (A Lot) and improved consistancy. It's also quite accurate with Nosler 210 grain HP over H110 and Shooters World Heavy Pistol.

    Applying lubrication

I've tried the plastic bags, but the best thing I've found is a cheap Halloween candy bowl. For pistol rounds I spray the bowl, then dump in the cases, stir them around, the round shape makes it easy to get a good coating on all the cases and not into the cases. For rifle rounds I put the...
