When my postman brought me a box of 9mm from Montana gold, told him he could have some to try out for all his effort to bring me the box (It was heavy).
He laughed and said "the last thing you want to give a postman is some bullets" and walked out the door laughing.:what:
Same problem up here...Two weeks ago I wanted some VV 3N38 for 9mm. Local dealer wanted $40/lb plus tax. Ordered two pounds from PV for $27/each. The difference in price paid for the hazmat alone. Then took advantage of their cheap primers and Unique and got all my BLC-2 for the year...
Probably a little off topic. But if you have a Cabela's close by shop their site first before you go to the store. The local Cabela's store will price match their (Cabela's) website. Just ask the cashier on checkout to match the price....the pull it up and override the price (with help for...
I have an old 788 222 that I still shoot all the time. Beat to heck but still a shooter.
I use to shoot the 55-SX with 4895 and it shot great. I recently pick up a bunch of 40 grain VMAX for a really good price. Yesterday I tried a 40 VMAX with 24.5 BLC-2. Shot under a 1" at 100 and very...
Some of you all sure get work up over nothing.
My study was simple I'm on my 4th Cabelas (Berry Tumbler)....I don't need to do a double blind study....they just quit working and I take them back to Cabelas.
I would like to know from the Berry's guy though if the lids cracking are a common...
I think I'm on my 4th Cabelas tumbler or so....Make sure to save your reciept or they credit you the lowest recent sale price.
The Cabelas (Berry's) tumblers do wear out and the lids crack....they are close to a POS but I can't complain because Cabelas always gives me a in store credit to go...
I'm on my third or forth Cabelas tumbler. I haven't had good luck with them, but luckly we have a store close by and I just return them and they give me a new one.
First time I didn't have a receipt so I got the lowest recent sale price as credit and used it for a new one. Since then I keep...
I shoot a 21 all the time with reloads. Never a problem....I think I have had one split case in 15k rounds....and most of the brass was used when I got it. I almost exclusively shoot lead in it as well:what:. My favorite load so far is the 200-MBC RNFP with 5.8 Unique.
I don't think you...
Hey Capt. Roy,
If you got the 9mm down you'll have no problem with the 38....very easy and a joy to reload. Lead and the 38 are a true match....I really prefer lead in the 38. Try some of those Missouri Bullets 158 LSWC and seat to the crimp groove.
I've have good luck with these bullets. Seat to the top of the crimp grove and taper crimp. Currently using 5.8 of Unique just loading another 1,000 like this. I have used HP-38 didn't like and WST which I did like.
Looking to recommendations and places I can find Hollow Point Molds for 38spcl, 9mm, and 45ACP.
Also, if you have any experience with the molds can you post them.
Thanks
Hey Brad,
Would you consider running an introductory special on these to give us a little extra incentive to try them out:)?
I know I took advantage of the 115 9'mms when they came out.....just a thought!
Thanks-Idahoglock36
I have used Remington, Winchester and LC. If you can find some old surplus LC it seems to be the best for me. The LC is very tough. The ones I have been using are from the 1960's but good stuff and never a problem.
I'm new to the 45lc but had the same problem this week. Switched from HP-38 to Unique and the problem went away.....In fact I have never seen Unique burn this clean..(what am I doing wrong, Unique never burns this clean). My HP-38 cases looked like they had chain smoked for 50 years inside...
