I just bought my 10th handgun, M&P 9mm display model for $299 shipped. I'm telling myself that I'm done and it needs to stick. After accumulating 4 AR-15's, I'm telling myself I'm done there too.
My recently purchased M&P 40c has a pretty good trigger right out of the box, its loosened up even more after 500 rounds. I'm ok with it. The apex trigger is 160 bucks, I'll pass.
With the current ammo give-away's, you can buy 9mm for 19 cents/round, so at a minimum I'm saving 8 cents/round. The difference is quality and consistency, much better accuracy and I can play around with powder charges, mild to full power.
For 9mm, this is where I'm at:
RMR 115 FMJ = 75 bucks
S&B primers = $25/1000
CFE-P at $22/lb, which does 1250 rounds = 1.7 cents/round
So that's $117/1000.
M&P 9mm full size from PSA, display model.......$299 shipped. I'll be at $325 out the door. Hopefully it will be here Tuesday and I can post up some pic's. Oh and I get the $75 rebate on top of that.....so $250 bucks!

The gun is phenomenal, very accurate, feels awesome in the hand, love it! I bought an x-grip adapter and a couple full size 15 round magazines, that's a sweet set-up.
Dare I say, I like this gun more than my SR40-C, which is a great gun in its own right.
I haven't been to a gun show in 2 years, they can't touch on-line prices. For example:
1) Ruger SR40 = $325 out the door from Bud's gun shop
2) K&K P30 40 cal = $525 out the door from sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore
3) FNS-40 = $400 out the door from PSA
4) M&P 40c = $360 out the door, minus a $75...
Since every gun show I've been too has signs everywhere that say "No concealed or loaded firearms allowed", the gun was illegally brought into the show, meaning he lied to the officers at the checkpoint.
I have a Ruger SR40 that I bought from Bud's gun shop for $325 out the door, even better than CDNN. Its a great shooting pistol with an above average trigger. I like the fact that Ruger added slide mass and put in a heavier recoil spring, it shoots great for a 40. I have small hands, so the...
Gun design is a big factor. The Ruger SR40's are awesome because they have a low bore axis and extra mass in the slide. It really tames it down, really enjoy shooting mine.
I picked this up last Tuesday, ordered from Bud's gun shop. They were blowing out SR40's for $298 shipped, jumped on it! I've already put 125 rounds through it and I really like it!
