I want to check my understanding of the following facts:
1. Start with a 14.5 inch barrel and have a PERMANANTLY attached flash supressor making the over all length over 16 inchs you have a legal barrel as far as LENGTH GOES. Correct?
2. What constitutes a Permanantly attached...
This is a set recently made for me by a great guy and wonderful maker named Bill Buxton. This big knife and its little brother were hand forged from 51200 carbon steel. Cyro-treated and in my mind are functional works of art.
The big blade is 15 inches overall with a 10 inch full convex...
Manuel Guttierrez 82 years old. Born to dirt poor share cropper Mexican Immigrants. He lived in Texas until he left during WW2 to fight for his country. A country that did not always want him nearly as much as he wanted it.
He fought with his back like so many Minority Soldiers. Not...
Picked up this knife from a maker that posts here. Ecos is his handle.
This knife is a Carbon steel prototype he sold me. His heat treat is perfect.
I took this edge to the limits of the steel. I cut the bevel back to be damn near the same angle as the flat grind he put on the blade...
But hey so is everybodies right?

One of our forum members here that goes by the handle of ECOS recently let me pry a 5 inch bladed recurve fixed blade from him.
The knife features a deeply recurved flat ground blade. This was a prototype knife and is not ready for public view in terms of looks so I will not post pictures...
I have a Tops neck knife. The blade profile is so thick and blunt edged that no matter how sharp you got it, it would give very poor cutting performance.
I thnned the edge WAY back and worked the edge with several levels of fine stones then used a strop. Then did a micro bevel.
This...
I sent my P22 into Smith and wesson for the recall and bitched about not being made whole by the fix since my gun was a two barrel set.
They applied the CA fix and sent me a check for 50 bucks. Anybody else get paid off?

Ok guys and gals,
Many of us here at THR take time to thank Vets and think of prices paid
and lives given for freedom on this weekend.
May I suggest a more active role? Adopt a Soldier, Marine, or Airman and thier family. Its easy to do we all know or have a co-worker that knows a...
I have a idea to help out a Young low ranking Marine on his second tour in Iraq.
Family is having a real tough time making ends meet.
I have a match conditioned M1 Garand that I would like to auction on this site.
100 percent of the proceeds going to the Family of the Marine.
What...
As I increase the tempo of my shooting I begin to push the rounds directly to the left at the 8:30 to 9:00 side of the target.
If I slow back down the shots return to center. This happens with any gun I shoot.
Any suggestions for trigger drills or grip changes to combat this bad habbit?
I am sure many of you will remember this post
My I am to stupid to own guns post
Well its been a few weeks and I have taken some steps and made some changes as a result. I have also thought about why I screwed up in the first place.
I screwed up by:
1. Becoming relaxed at the range...
So Stupid, perhaps I am done with guns.
I did something stupid today at a public range in front of
Friends in the same shooting lane I have been using since 1989.
At this range they call a cease fire. Then Clear your guns and put a safety flag in the chamber. Then step back from the...
