I've never used titegroup for handgun loads. It is a hell of a good trap handicap load for shooting 25-27 yard line. Really fast...
I'll have to try it on some 9mm when I run out of win231.
Gotta buy some first though
You can find an old single stage MEC for less than $100 on eBay and save you a lot of time. I can load a lot of shells in the time it takes you to cut and load and glue...
You got a local trap & skeet club nearby? If so go ask someone about buying hulls, most of the hard core guys have 1,000s and don't come close to using them all. I use them with splits in the side, don't mean to nut it happens with nothing bad happen. Worst I have ever done was one or two...
I've looked at scores online each morning. There is a group from local trap club camping there for about a week.
I just figured a few more THR members would attend.....
Isn't it ironic that the largest trap club in the world is in the least friendly gun state!
Anyone been, going or shooting? Share with the rest of us.....
I'm going Wednesday to shoot 200 16s. I can't wait.... Wish I could have gone for the week but gotta work and vacation days are limited.
I had loaded 9mm and went to the gun club with my 10 year old daughter. I handed her my phone and said"if this turns out bad call for help". The look on her face was priceless..
Every shot fired without incident but funny feeling.....
The "brass rat" in question isn't too hard up for money. I just looked that tool up and the whole package is over $60....
Incidentally I'm considering ordering one..., pretty cool tool
I had an accidental discharge shooting trap when I was about 15 or 16 years old. Pulled the trigger to shoot a target and nothing happended. It was a semi auto beretta 303 so I dropped gun to my side and began to extract the round. As soon as I slightly moved the bolt the gun fired, flew out...
ThAt is why I said 30+ years. ;)
Trap is a great sport. Most of your misses are lack of concentration and focus. Like shooting free throws, same thing every time.
Been shooting trial for 23 years. #1 find a gun that fits and you can shoot and stay with it. #2. If you have adjustable rib, comb, etc find a place you can hits targets and leave it there. It's a poor musician that blames his instrument. #3. Relax. Like someone else said its just you and...
I load for .223 but I'll buy some hgher quality ammo. I need a goodlight for my AR anyway. Any other gear I might need resides gun, ammo and light? I won't be responsible for feeding or baiting so ill leave the corn to someone else. :)
Thanks again
Plan on using.223 unless my friend tells me different. Yeah, won't be anything like quail at all. I actually have not hunted in years, mostly trap and skeet guy and like guns so I've bought a few nice rifles and handguns.
I think it will be fun, if I just relax and let it be fun.
Sorry if this is posted somewhere else but I did a search and didn't find anything.
I'm not much of a hunter. In fact the biggest animal I have ever shot was a quail. A friend of mine invited me on a hog hunting trip in February or January and I want to know what kind of gear I will need in...
I run the IT department at my company and "weapons" is a generic category for blocking, pretty standard. Websense is also running by our ISP and blocks what my filter does not. Nw I can find all kinds f weapon related info on Wikipedia because the site s not registered with a stars associated...
20 ga 870 i had years ago kicked like a mule. Go with the 1100 in 12 ga? You'll enjoy it and the automatic will reduce some recoil as well.
Skeet is a blast, enjoy the game.
I shot in a clay target tournament while in college and the boys from pine tech were there. What a GREAT group of guys and the instructor that was with them was absolutely fabulous. I had a firing pin break while shooting wobble trap and he installed a new one for me at no cost (I bought the...
