This. They are tack drivers, and SO much easier to maintain. That Buckmark IS gorgeous, and I would never part with mine, but... if I was gonna do it over, I would snag a Victory.
We've had two. The first one sold in two hours. The other one came in yesterday, I was off today, so I don't know if it's still there or not.
They are really nice; the grip is MUCH better than the regular Shields, in my opinion. The trigger was almost Performance Center good, too. How they got...
That might be the problem; that's some really, really dirty cheap stuff. I've seen a lot of really filthy customer guns after a couple hundred round session.
Interesting. I work at the gun shop in Gallatin (Sumner Gun & Supply), and the Beretta guys that come in say they haven't rollmarked anything with Gallatin yet.
I use a Mac, and have no problems with it at all. They seem to have worked out a lot of the bugs since this thread was started. I've actually been checking it lately, and it works much better than it did after the initial fubar.
Considering the ATF guy stopped by my local FFL and doing the routine book check... he saw my name enough to inquire about what I might be doing... guess I have all the guns I need. Won't be selling or trading any, either. Oh, well...
Picked up a .45 one, and love it. It is living up to it's 24/7 name, it's been with me constantly. It even had me... gasp... lay down my Glock for a while...
I can only speak for me, but having done both, I still have the Glock. I wanted to love the XD, I really did, but it just didn't shoot as well for me. Too top heavy, too high above my grip; the Glock just settles in right where it should, much lower bore axis, far more controllable.
