That is exactly the scenario that existed in the PULSE. 300+ unarmed people cowering and hoping not to be a victim. What is not known is that if ANYONE of the 300+ occupants offered any kind of resistance. What is not know is how effective the shooter could have been when 30 to 50 drink...
I had a Kitty Kat upper for a while. Excellent quality and surprisingly accurate. LOUD with the 5.56 round, but superb with a .22LR conversion installed.
What ruined the whole Sig Brace deal is the explosion of the YouTube Gun writers suddenly publishing on it coupled with a poorly timed letter to the NFA asking for a determination that was more detailed than their previous approval to Sig to market the brace.
Kind of like killing the goose...

Gas traps are very rare and command a HUGE premium when they turn up for sale. I've read that it's estimated that less that 50 exist in private hands that are in original configuration.
Federal is a Top Tier manufacturer.
That said, errors do happen, but very rarely.
Personally I have no issue with shooting Federal Ammunition of any caliber in my firearms.
That revolver did an admirable job in protecting you as it disintegrated in your hands. Kudos to the Ruger engineers as well as their customer service. I had no doubt they would step up regardless of their examination results. I doubt Ruger will provide any test or inspection results with the...
I have a 7.5" 5.56 Piston upper that is fun to shoot and I am able to make torso hits on steel out to 200 yards fairly easily with a Trijicon RX06 optic. Its a PDW type of weapon and not really intended for engaging at that distance.
If I needed to configure it for an all-around balanced...
My son's first deer rifle was a Ruger M77/357 and he dropped a large 6-pt with one shot driven through the shoulder at 40 yards. The deer collapsed where he stood.
It is light, carries well, shoulders well, is accurate at 100 yards with 158gr JSP .357 Magnum and is really fun to shoot...
I'll shoot some pics this evening.
I don't need a brake on it. The rifle does t recoil badly and the 308 is kind of a pussycat recoil wise. Additionally, I plan on hunting with it, so a brake would not work for me with the blast intensifying properties.
Eventually, I'll probably just...
I replaced the Ruger Flash Suppressor with an AR10 A2 type and it looks way better and lost the ringy "twing" from the Ruger one. I really like the rifle and went ahead and replaced the rear sight and forward rail with an XS Systems rail/sight assy and mounted a Trijicon TR-24A on Low profile...
My next project is a QC10 based build, either a Carbine or a SBR/PDW. Makes perfect sense to me as my EDC is a G19 and the QC10 will run any double stack Glock mag on the market from the 10-rd G26 to the 33rd G18 extended.
Yes, Ruger has no published warranty in place on any of their firearms and legally they have no obligation to do anything. Same is true with Federal Cartridge, they are under no obligation to replace a damaged firearm.
We are in agreement that the OP should not ship it off to anyone until...
So if it was your revolver that KB'ed and Federal Cartridge said "send it to us to have a look at it" before you even heard back from Ruger, what would you do?
The OP is getting a boat load of advise and suggestions, some good, some Meh; but I get the impression that this is the first time...
In the same vein of thinking why would Ruger consider any kind of warranty replacement if the destroyed firearm was sent to Federa and not them first.....
Unless Federal is a warranty station for Ruger or they cooperate with the findings.
Not enough info was posted to get a handle on why...
