I'm not 100% sure if this would work but maybe a coat or two of some sort of exterior lacquer based paint or polyurethane where you want the metal to stay shiny, then lacquer thinner it off after parkerizing. might be worthy of another test run

If you are getting off centered primer strikes that may have been your problem. If the firing pin strikes are all well centered in the primers, I'd look at replacing the mainspring

If you shoot your Garand in the NTI, P-100 or the teams matches, you are in a class of ONLY Garand shooters. The JCG match EVERYBODY shoots a Garand. I'm not sure but I think The Garand Collector's Assoc. pays your match fees IF you are a member and shoot a Garand anywhere at the National Matches.

I prefer the Geissele reaction rod to the upper receiver blocks. Yes it is more expensive but ZERO chance of twisting an upper receiver with the rod.

Yes it is....I've made a lot of money from guys betting that my "slowpoke arrows" could outpenetrate their high speed rifles through a bucket of sand.

Showing up with a box of fresh donuts from the local bakery or a cold 12 pack of beer in hand when you stop to pick up those buckets of wheel weights goes a long way toward insuring that you get the next bucket too. hint hint

I have both, BUT I only use the 650 if I have a LOT of one caliber to load (1000+) otherwise the time and trouble of switching it from one caliber to another isn't worth it compared to the 550. Someone once asked me if I had to sell a press which one would go first.....the 650.
