    Ever had an MG runaway?

I keep mine tied up.:D I have 3 open bolt subs, and have yet to have the problem, but I could see it happening with weak 9mm that didn't push the bolt back far enough to engage the sear when you let go of the trigger. I could also see it happening in the event of a catastrophic failure...

Smart Guns and problems with carry outside the home

Guy Meredith is dead on; How long do you think it would take the average gunsmith to deactivate the system?

    CZ92 Coming Soon?

Walt Sherril hit it on the nose. The CZ 92 is just an updated copy of the original CZ 45 and its predecessor, the CZ 36. As produced in Czechoslovakia, it would not meet the ridiculous points system imposed by GCA of 68 and BATF rules. I contacted CZ and they flat out told me they hae...

    CZ92 Coming Soon?

I contacted CZ-USA several weeks ago after the rumor first started and they said they had no plans to manufacture the 92 in the U.S.

    Remington Rand 1911A1 Question

The grips almost look like they came off of a Norinco 1911.

HK single stack or 380? will it ever happen

Some of the same people that designed the HSc. The original HK 4 had a larger rounded trigger guard that was more practical, until someone unfortunately decided to redesign it into the flat bottom guard abortion that was released for sale to the public.

Do You Have an Excellent Handgun that was Inexpensive?

Best buy: An F.B. Radom Nagant revolver for $35.00 at a gun show in Florida. Ironic, but I was looking for a Russian made Nagant and "settled" on the Radom.

    H&R pardner pump 12 gauge

True enough, but light yellow sparks generally mean low carbon mild steel. Orange sparks aren't the end-all to determine steel quality, but it is a pretty good general indicator.

    H&R pardner pump 12 gauge

Chopped the barrel on one and the cutting wheel generated a lot of dark orange sparks, usually an indication of good steels. Liability, what else? Potential headspace problems due to improper fitting or installation or what have you.

    Broomhandle Spring

The short spring is designed to be threaded onto the end of the firing pin, which is threaded to accept it. Comments like this don't help.

    Recommend me a CZ holster.

Yes, they are an excellent fit for the CZ 75, and can still be found on eBay in new or near new condition for less than 20 bucks.

    German Made Single Shot Question

From what I can see in your photo in the action (need a better pic in focus), the bolt closely resembles that used on Swedish Husqvarna .22 rifles of more or less the same era. In fact, I think I might have a spare bolt for that gun. And it definitely says "Gewehrfabrik Danzig" on the...

    Remington 1917 415xxx

Actually the original Pattern 1913 rifles were made for a rimless cartridge, the .276 Enfield, a rather fat round, resulting in a 5 round magazine. Later, when production of the Pattern 1914 began, the fairly large rim diameter of the .303 round dictated a 5 round mag as well. When the...

    Looking for a non plastic SA/DA 9mm

Update to previous post: I fell victim to my own propaganda and ordered a Canik from Bud's. When I examined it at the LGS, I was very disappointed to find that the slide overlapped the back of the frame by close to 1/16". Not a very good fit, so it went back to Buds. After my bad...

    Looking for a non plastic SA/DA 9mm

Take a look at www.Budsgunshop.com. They are selling Turkish Canilk L-120 clones of the CZ 75s for under $400.00. They are all sttel. While I am not a fan of Turk guns, what I have read about them seems to be positive.

Colt Producing New Model 1903 Pistols

Sadly, many of these reintroduced reproductions never come to fruition. A while back (80s, I think), a Texas company was going to start remanufacturing Browning 1910s. Even had a write up in Gun Digest, but it never came to be. Don't be surprised if this Colt project dies on the vine, too.
