wow looks like some of you guys have quite the setup. currently i am using a small coleman propane stove and my pot is an empty 1LB propane bottle i cut in half. My skimming ladle is a 2' piece of broom handle with a bent spoon on the end (use the other end for that charred wood fluxing). of...
i use a 1 1/2" brass pipe about 4"s tall and set it on top of a piece o2 2" aluminum flat stock pour the lead and wait for it to frost on top, pick it up with pliers and tap it on the floor.
I have been reloading for about 2 years and am now interested in casting my own pistol bullets (soon to be 21 and owner of .454 casull). I have been collecting wheel weights fo a few months and melting them in a cast iron pot over propaneand making ingots by pouring into a small brass pipe. I...
The raging bulls are all ported if i am not mistaken.
hoping to find someone that has tried the various lengths and can advise as to which lengths had better balance. I believe they come in 8 3/8, 6 1/2, 5,and 2 1/2"
Been reading for the last year and finally became a member. about to turn 21 so pistols are going to be added to the collection soon. enjoy reloading and this last month have started melting and cleaning lead just waiting to buy a mould for my soon to own .454 raging bull

Leaky waders, yes we are allowed to hunt on Eglin but only during their deer season which of course ends today. Aso tried the redfishing down here i was really excited when i got down here but for all the hype i have only caught one slot red in the year i have been here.
I agree with interlock if it will take a deer it will take a coyote. I don't know if it comes in a factory load but the 95gr hornady sst interlock is explosive on small game and still holds together on deer sized game.
If i were hunting the selected game you are talking about i would look into getting one of the 6.5mm cartridges, they are known for their sectional density which will give you great penetration on black bear and in the case of the 6.5x55 swede the recoil is negligable. i personally shoot a .243...
finally got an account and have a question worth asking. recently got stationed in destin FL and figured well i was down south i would try my hand at hog hunting.i know hog is open year round through the state but coming across land to hunt them on is kinda hard. the only public land to hunt on...
