    Interstate handgun ruling - update?

This is the latest I could find, from July. It is Mance V Lynch (was Mance v Holder), being appealed to 5th Circuit. http://blog.cheaperthandirt.com/doj-files-seeking-overturn-mance-v-lynch/

    The tide has turned

I saw a decent selection of bulk .22 at an LGS in SE PA. It was between $0.07 and $0.10/ round. I have enough that I didn't get too excited or buy any, but I was definitely pleased to see any in stock.

    Leaving NJ for America

Had a laugh about this one. MOST drivers in NJ cut in and out of lanes without signaling. Enjoy your newly found freedom.

    Good price for .22

For the times it isn't a horrible price. Midway had Federal AutoMatch come in last night at about $28/325 or $.086/round (including shipping). With a one box limit, it is already gone, less than 24 hours later.

Law in PA and OH re: Notifying Police?

Not true. Permit is required for carry in a car in PA. From Handgunlaw.us: "Open Carry is legal except a valid permit/license is needed to carry a loaded firearm openly or concealed in a vehicle and for openly carrying in the city of Philadelphia."

    ATF targets three percenters

It sounds like they are labeling Chicago's shooters as "three percenters" I am sure this is a different demographic than the group deriving their name from the revolutionary war participation rate, but I am not sure that the Crime Gun Intelligence Center arrived at this name accidentally. It...

SCOTUS denies cert in carry case Drake v. Jerejian

It appears to be awaiting argument. Other than financial reasons or issuance of a permit, I don't know why it would be dropped at this point.

SCOTUS denies cert in carry case Drake v. Jerejian

"A-72-12 IMO the Application for a New Jersey Permit to Carry a Handgun by Richard Pantano (072329) Does the statutory requirement that an applicant for a permit to carry a handgun demonstrate “a justifiable need to carry a handgun,” N.J.S.A. 2C:58-4(d), violate the right to bear arms under the...

SCOTUS denies cert in carry case Drake v. Jerejian

I forgot about the Pantano Case in the New Jersey Supreme Court. It looks like it might be argued soon (based on the cases granted cert around the same time). While I don't have a ton of faith in lower courts deciding this in our favor, I believe this would also be a short hop to the US Supreme...

SCOTUS denies cert in carry case Drake v. Jerejian

Richards v Prieto and Baker v Kealoha were decided by the same panel of judges as Peruta, and either one is likely to be appealed.

SCOTUS denies cert in carry case Drake v. Jerejian

My thoughts on the delays in deciding whether to grant cert in Drake were related to the pending petitions to intervene in Peruta. With that undecided, they might be waiting for the three cases in the 9th Circuit to play out fully. I would hope that any of those to reach the Supreme court would...

CA State Senator Leland Yee arrested!

You should really be fuming if this article is correct in saying the undercover claimed to be connected to La Cosa Nostra, and the guns were to be smuggled in through Newark. http://uptownalmanac.com/2014/03/leland-yee-released-raymond-chow-detained
