NEW YORK -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, whose pro-gun stance has attracted criticism from fellow New York Democrats, has moved two rifles she kept under her bed for protection because of news reports about the weapons.
In a Newsday interview published earlier Monday, Gillibrand said she and her...
Just came across this, reminds me of the "any teenager buying assualt rifles/blood in the streets" scare of 2004. No merit but the author wants readers leaving with the impression that felons may legally have guns soon.

My 1300 has a 7 round capacity, and an 18 inch barrel. I have just purchased a 28 inch 1300 barrel w/modified winchoke for dove hunting early next month.
Now Ive discovered that the defenders mag tube may be too long to work with the new barrel. What are my options to get a functional gun...
I may be taking my 1300 hunting next month, but its a short barreled defender. I know that there are aftermarket barrels availible, but I remember hearing that the 1200 or 1400 series barrels were interchangable...does anybody know about this?
Different brass has different capacities, and we load differently keeping this in mind. My question is that after full lenth resizing a previously neck sized round, is there a signifigant reduction in case capacity? Is it enought to slightly down load for?
I recently purchased a Savage 10fp in .308 with HS precision stock. Just wanted to give a quick review.
The Savage 10fp a heavy barreled .308 fed from a 5 shot internal magazine. I wanted this rifle because of the great reviews it had recieved, and because I want to get into competition...
Seeing as how 7.62 keeps getting more expensive Id like to develop a good plinking load for my .308 savage, and soon for a .308 enfield also. Im looking for a fairly inexpensive load that is clean with decent accuracy if possible. I will not be weighing powder charges for each case, and will...
Ive been reading up on these, does anyone own one? They were rechambered to .308.
I would like to purchase one, and have a C&R liscense, but haven't seen any around.
The battle footage seems very real, at least to someone who has never seen combat. I ran across a clip on youtube today. It sounds like its in Russian from what I can hear being spoken.

Can I get decent powder throws with Varget? What measures do you recommend?
I have just started reloading, and I can tell that measuring charges is going to be the most tedious part. Right now I reload only for .308 match loads. I hope to soon compete in F-class matches with a tactical rifle...
Well I just finished loading my first 20 rounds of match .308! It took me 2 hours including getting the dies set up and adjusting everything. Im going to see how it shoots out of my Savage 10fp this saturday.
The load...Speer 168 gr FMJBT, 44grains of Varget, in federal brass with federal...
I am new to reloading and am running into a few problems resizing. I am using Lee deluxe dies to reload .308, and a Lee hand press (which will be upgraded soon). When I use the full length die the case sizes about 80% leaving the area at the case head and the last 2mm or so of the neck...
Ive just cleaned up some new steel rings and mounts for my savage 10fp, and will install them soon. Do I need to worry about rust to the base or rings? I have a silicone impregnated cloth that I may use but I dont want to worry about rings coming loose.
