Our own (and Glock Talk's and S&W Forum's - he's kind of fickle :D ) "pangris" has a couple of excellent reviews of classes at Shootrite.

Does anyone know if the proposed bills do anything in regard to shielding a homeowner/victim from civil suits in the event a criminal is injured or killed (by the homeowner) during the commission of a crime on the homeowner's property?
TIA
I thought many would find this to be an interesting article regarding the War on Drugs even though it's nearly 10 years old. Friedman seems to make a LOT of sense. This is a New York Times copyrighted article: If my posting it here violates any copyright rules/laws, I ask that the mods please...
Chances are that Tom Givens in Memphis isn't too far from you. He has a very good "Basic Handgun" class that I can personally recommend. Check him out at http://www.rangemaster.com/
Feel free to PM or e-mail any questions.

Great story, Travis M -
Glad it all worked out well. OK, now that you're back and (presumably) rested, get to work on the third book.
I mean, anyone who's both a John D. MacDonald and a Beach Boys fan should take at least a little pity on his deprived audience! :neener...
Thanks for the details of the story, Sashea. And please extend my thanks to your husband for his service. My best wishes to you & your hubby, and I hope you both have a Merry Christmas.

Good morning, Tuner -
We didn't see anything on the frame around the dissconnect tunnel, but did find what looked to be an "M" stamped on the back of the slide just above the FP stop. Under the FP stop, just above the firing pin, is the letter "C" (kinda tilted), but no numbers. We did spot...
Thanks once more, Tuner. I can't find any adittional markings, so guess it wasn't sent back for any repairs.
My buddy & I went to the local gun show yesterday and stumbled across his 1911's brother (sister?) which was in similar condition. The dealer's pistol was s/n 504XXX, so was only a...
Hi, Outlaws -
I have bought a few items online and all the seller required from me was a signed copy of my C&R license. It's my understanding that SOME states (don't know which) do require that an FFL holder, as opposed to an individual, ships the gun.
HTH,
Rick
Many thanks for your rapid reply, Tuner! The pistol looks to be in very good shape (I have it in my hot grubbies as we speak). It does indeed have an "A A" stamped on the left side of the frame just in front of the slide release pivot point. It's two A's with a space between them as opposed...
Hi, Tuner -
A buddy recently picked up what appears to be an arsenal refinished (parked) M1911. I was wondering how close it might be to your M1911 of 1919 vintage. His s/n is 5008XX, is that anywhere near the s/n of yours? He'd love having any additional info. He's finally starting to relax...
