First off, I know you get what you pay for but I thought I would give this mossberg a try just to see, and here is what I found. First it is extremely stiff to open and close, but this is to be expected and will ease up after break in. Second, The trigger is very heavy. The internals had a lot...
Kel-tec is now making a 410 version of their KSG. I have not handled one or anything, but I cant help but think this with a red dot would be a great home defense. I dont know about the overall weight, but 10 .410 rounds either slugs or some of the defense rounds marketed, with a dot sight that...
Here are a couple. first is both sons squirrel hunting, the second is the older with his youth season deer. This is the first year in Illinois for straight wall rifle hunting so he is using a 50 Beowulf with a single shot sled magazine
Trying to read the law here, it describes a 50 caliber rifle as "a centerfire rifle capable of firing a 50 caliber cartridge". A 50 caliber cartridge is defined as "a cartidge in .50 BMG caliber, either by designation or actual measurement". So where does that put something lik a 50 Beowulf...
I put together the blue one for me and the red one for my dad. This pic is pretty old, my son in the pic is 10 now and both guns have different optics on them now but they are both still great shooters.
When i think of gun songs I always think of Steve Lee. Particularly "I Like Guns" , but both his albums I know of ("I like guns" and "Everybody likes guns") are all pro gun songs
It says the officers heard a bang and smelled gunpowder, then they figured out that one of the guns had discharged. I can't imagine a gun going off in a holster I am wearing and not feeling when the gun fired. and maybe he did I just find it odd that that wasn't mentioned
I am replacing the hammer spring on a Winchester model 100, but am having a bear of a time keepin the trigger lock (part A16 in diagram) in place as I put the hammer/strut a and spring back in place. Anyone done one of these and have a tip for me?
I wear the blue nitrile ones, for my hands and so once the gun is clean I am not getting the oil and sweat from my hands on the gun.
I forgot to wear them when cutting some ghost peppers once, taking out my contacts that night felt like I got maced.
$99 seems to be the magic number for me, I have 3 at that price
An SKS with thumbhole stock converted to AK mags that I bought in 1999 for the Y2K.
A mossberg 802 plinkster bought at Wally world about 12 years ago
and a Chinese type 53 I picked up just a few years back
I do some gunsmithing and transfers as a side business. This new licensing bill will make it impossible for me to keep my FFL. Moving out of state is not an option as I have family and another full time business to run.
After using the swabs with the wooden stick, I cut the stick at an angle and use the pointy part as a stylus to apply paint in small areas (like on sights).
I guess I could have went into the reason. I use that load in my 1911's with no problems. My father in Law has a 455 webley set up for moon clips and 45acp but from my reading they should stay under around 13,200PSI. I was pretty sure that those loads would qualify but just wanted to check...
That all looks pretty rough. if getting the burs off doesnt fix it, maybe you could take some gum tragacanth or something similiar and a smooth dowel and burnish/slicken the whole area
