I have a h&r trapdoor reproduction that I reload for. I want to load with unique but the only book I have with it is lyman 49th in the tc section. They don't show what pressures the load created so I'm not sure about using it because of that. I would like some published data for this load. I'm...
I clean with lyman red media. I have a rcbs beam scale that I use. Some of the brass has been loaded one time with black powder from my father in law. Would that cause the brass failure I was cleaned with normal dish detergent that time. Thanks for all the help
Remington just settled on the remington 700 and agreed to change the trigger on every 700 the have ever made. Wanted everyone to know. They are going to go broke fixing all of them.
I always start with the start load and go up from there. Not in the year I have been reloading have I ever even made or got close to max load. What I'm asking is how to determine the best powder of the listed powders. I own 4 to 5 reloading books so I don't ever just pick a number at or close to...
The cartridge I'm asking about is .223. I picked up a h&r the other day and am getting all my reloading stuff together for it. When I picked a powder for my 243 I just went with the highlighted on in my nosler book. I figured there has to be some reason to pick a powder over another. Thanks
I've been reloading for about a year but one thing I'm having trouble with is lets say my reloading book shows 10 different powders for one cartridge. How do I pick the one that would be the most likely candidate. I know all will work but some will preform better than others.
I just picked up a single shot 223 and am getting stuff rounded up for reloading. I'm looking at brass and there is two ways to go commercial once fired or Lc once fired. Lc cost more had have to remove the crimp. Is it worth the difference. Thanks
My middle son is six this coming deer season and wants to go hunting. He has shot my oldest sons remington 700 in 243 and he said it hurt him which was about a year ago. I don't want to get him gun shy so that's why I'm asking. I'm not sure I want to do a 223 because it's a pretty small bullet...
I have seen load data for 45-70 with unique and 2400 but I don't have any of those powders. I have a can of hodgdon 800x which I know is good for 44 mag. Does anyone have a published data for a 45-70 or am a crap out of luck for now. Thanks billy
I have found on imr website a published load for a 45-70 using trailboss that sounds to be pretty light. It's uses a 300 grain bullet with a starting load of 14 grains and a max load of 16.5. Was wondering if any of you have used this data. I would like to find other published data for light...
