As I recall you need to provide the usual name, address, phone#, etc. plus drivers licence number. You also need to agree for them to run a background check(and pay $50 for that). Finally, they require registration 2 weeks prior to the class. The sign-up form and class info is on their webpage.

I have taken several classes at FS and would say it was definately "worth it" for me. The "worth it" measure depends on where you are coming from - both in terms of training and ability as well as geographical location. It also depends on if you are using time or money as your "worth it"...

Nice job Ankeny. Based on what I can see in your scan I think your shot#4 is just in. Now that you've shown you can do it at 25 yards it is time to go for the 50 & 100 yard "advanced" classes.

A Ransom rest only applies to handguns. It is a clamping device that pretty much removes all the skill involved in shooting and is often used to test ammo and firearm precision without that pesky human element to mess things up. Here is a good picture of one. Hope that helps. So, yes...
