Here are the scores for Little Loudmouth and me for the Oct. Match.
Lots of bad weather up here lately, we almost didn't get to shoot it.
Today was nice, and we made it to the range this afternoon.
Supposed start to rain again tonight.

Little Loudmouth
Rifle Supported
Remington 40X .22, Wolf Match target ammo.
Blazer 8-32 power scope.
Score: 60

ACP230
Rifle Supported
Remington 40X .22 with Wolf match target.
Blazer 8-32 power scope.
Score: 30
Just enough wind to push my shots to the right.
I tried to allow for it, but obviously didn't do it too well.

ACP230
Rifle stock, offhand.
Marlin 1894FG .41 Magnum
with XS "Ghost Ring" peep sight added
Reloads with 230 grain .41 SWCs, Unique powder and Winchester primers.
Score: 20

I think the reason for the light turnout this month is that a lot of the players are out hunting. Anyway, I got back to the range with my rifle.

Robert J. McElwain
CLASS Supported Scoped Rifle, .22 cal Remington
Distance 50 yds
Score..... 35, ......... 60 -25. I got the cake.

A bad day at the range is still a great day.

Not too many players this month. Here are the scores.
Kudos to bagul who appears to be the only one to "get his birthday wish" this month.
Also, appreciation goes to dxkj who had the hardest time with the target but was brave enough to share his scores! This is what these matches are all about.

NEXT MONTH: I am working on the match for next month. Look for it to be posted soon. I have decided that this will be a NOV/DEC match since so many people will be busy with the holidays.

Here is a hint regarding the next match. My thinking went like this:
November....Thanksgiving.....Turkey....gobble, gobble...movie....Beef Critter!

Anyone have a guess?

I thought I'd get to the range Saturday to shoot some pistols but circumstances didn't allow it. Just as well, I probably would have been -100 with the CZ-52.

I shot a rifle a few weeks but was waiting to post. Blast, I could have been "not last" (barely) for the first time. ;) Oh well, I guess that'll teach me about procrastination.

Nice shooting Bagul.

Heh, my pitiful turnout netted me 1st place in rimfire!

Good news is Ive figured out what im off with so i should do better on the pistol class next time.

And I've figured out that if I'm going to hit little tiny candles at 50 yds with a rifle, I'm going to need something more than an antique .22 rifle. My next wish list item is a .17 HMR rifle. I've already started the research. I'm thinking Ruger.

roasted duck for birthday

Score really made my b-day. thanks again for the match photo-guy, and to RT for the compliment. We had roasted duck on my birtday. We stuff it with lemon grass and roast it over an open charcoal pit for about 3 hours until the skin was brown and crispy.Man was it tasty!----------------0k,ok,ok,bought the duck from the grocer:eek: . But next year were having bear ham and i'm not buying from any grocer!:D
