    Non-Standard Lube-Size Die

I'm hoping to find a .316" sizing die to fit my RCBS Lube-Sizer, that size doesn't seem to be offered by RCBS or Lyman. Any ideas on where I might find one or get one made?

Traditional Holster for Vintage Colt DA Revolver

I have a Colt Army Special in .32WCF with 6" barrel, made in 1922. It is in great shape & a wonderful shooter that I enjoy immensely. I would like to get a period correct holster for it, for carrying in the field, what should I be looking for? Photos of holster suggestions would be a great help!

    Annealing/Quenching Question

When annealing cartridge cases is it necessary to water quench, or is air cooling adequate? Any pros or cons to either method?

    Revision of Antique Firearms Status?

Just tossing this out there for comment. I collect & shoot, almost exclusively, antique & vintage firearms. Most firearms made pre-1899 are considered a non-gun under federal law so there are no problems buying & shipping those, & my C&R FFL covers all the post-1899 guns I'm interested in. I...

    '58 Trigger Issues

Shooting my Pietta '58 Remington this afternoon, noticed when placed on half-cock the trigger would go too far forward making it difficult to pull hammer back to full-cock. Came home & stripped the gun down.....what should I be looking for as to what is causing this? Trigger looks ok, as do the...

    Drippy Lead Pot!

OK, after a many year hiatus I dragged my Lee 20lb bottom pour lead pot out of hibernation this afternoon. The reason being is I shoot 95% muzzleloaders with pure lead, which I ladle cast with a cast iron pot over a propane ring. However, I wanted to cast a batch of alloy bullets & figured I'd...

    Competitions in Boise, ID area.

I have a job offer in Boise, ID. Used to live in SE Idaho back in the '80s for three years while in college but didn't get a whole lot of shooting in then other than going out to the desert to plink. Anyway, I'm wondering what is available competition-wise in the greater-Boise area. I'm...

    Germanic Stutzen/Jaeger/Boar Rifle?

I traded into this rifle recently, & am posting it here to get some feedback & help with ID. The previous owner described it as a Boar Rifle. [/IMG] It has an OAL of 44.5" with a 27.75" barrel. The barrel is octagon (1" at breach) for the first 24.5" where it changes to round (3/4"...

    Shooting Glasses

I shoot competitively, both rifle & handgun. I'm having a hard time finding a pair of shooting glasses that will work when I'm shooting prone (which is the position I shoot rifles from about 95% of the time). I find that when prone I'm looking through the upper edge of the lens &/or the frame...

    Remington '58 - Hammer Binding

I have a Pietta-made Remington '58 .36 caliber revolver. I've noticed lately that when I lower the hammer I can feel it binding, or rubbing. If I let go of the hammer at that point it will actually 'hang' there until I push it with my thumb. I don't notice it when I'm shooting, & lock-time &...

    IWB.....Concealed or Open Carry?

When I carry I usually just drop my S&W 442 in my pants pocket. Access to the revolver is fine, as long as I'm standing, but if sitting it would take some effort to get the gun out if needed. I had a family get together yesterday that required the wearing of a suit, so I thought I'd take the...

Anyone have any experience with this brand? Apparently made in SE Asia. Thinking of buying some of their .224" 62gn FMJBT for my 1:7" twist Mini 14. http://www.grafs.com/product/224867

    C.T.D. Featured in N.R.A. Article

Noticed there's a feature article about Cheaper Than Dirt in the latest N.R.A.'s America's First Freedom magazine. I read through the article, it was interesting enough but a bit of a 'fluff' piece. I've never dealt with C.T.D. but know a number of people on T.H.R. do. Anyone else seen the...

    Ammo Coming Back!

I was at the Everett, WA Wal-Mart this afternoon & did my customary stroll thru the sporting goods department. For the first time in weeks they had a very good supply of 9mm Luger, & 7.62x39. In 9mm they had Blazer Brass for $9.47/50 & Winchester white box 115gn FMJ for $20.97/100. The 7.62x39...

    Mini 14 v. Mini 30

I'm tempted to buy one or the other. I know alot of you prefer the AR platform, but it just doesn't do much for me personally.....I'm just a wood/steel kind of guy! It's main role would be as a go-to rifle for that SHTF-scenario we all like to talk about, but also something that the wife could...

    Olympic Arms FAL

Was out browsing the gun shops this afternoon & came across a very clean looking FAL made by Olympic Arms of Olympia, WA. I was quite surprised, as I didn't know Oly. Arms had even made FALs. Forgive the questions, but I'm not too familiar with these rifles. This one's receiver had a...
