I prefer RD for cast slugs in my .380, 9mak, 9mmPara .357 and .45acp. shoots cleaner for me, and it's low flash also.

I'm unsure about this but was'nt the 30-30 designed as a bush gun to begin with? basically a limited range heavy hitter with quick follow up shot (s). an interesting topic though. the 125gr may not be adequate for quartering shots on larger deer. at past say 100 yds in brush?

'lswc' is a cast slug then? seems to be a good load. BE is good for cast slugs IMO.

Red Dot has been showing up as the 'Promo' brand but just 8# jugs AFAIK. Power Pistol is not around here. primers are available at decent prices hit-or-miss.
