    Feed back on BotachTactical.com?

Looks like BotachTactical.com has good prices on Liger Belts, but I have never heard of them. Anyone have any good/bad comments?

    Radians Tac Ears Anyone?

Anyone use these and can vouch for them? I believe that you get what you pay for, and you can sure pay a lot more for electronic amplification/suppression ear plugs than these. Makes me leery, but I sure would like a pair if they work. http://www.gunaccessories.com/Radian...Ear&TacEar.asp

    Mika Pocket Holster-Square or Round?

Thanks to feedback and info searching here at THR and other firearm forms I have decided that one of Robert Mika's holsters will be my next pocket holster. He offers two choices, square bottomed and round bottomed. I am thinking that square would suite my purpose better, my thinking being...

    ARG VS. Summer Special/Executive Companion

About made up my mind that a Mitch Rosen ARG or a Milt Sparks Summer Special, or Executive companion will be my choice of IWB holster for my 5" 1911. Would be nice to get some feedback from those of you have have used one, or even better, both of these holsters.

    Mossberg Brownie

What can anyone tell me about a little four shot .22 Mossberg Brownie? I have one that belonged to my Grandpa. I don't recall having ever seen one at a gun show, gun shop, or any discussion of one on a gun board. Thanks in advance

    Ithaca model 72 .22 lever - Misfires

My brother in-law has an Ithaca model 72 "Saddle Carbine" .22 lever action rifle. It's problem is that on the first trigger pull there is only a lite primer strike, then upon cocking the hammer and giving a second pull the round will fire. I am not expecting it's problem to be diagnosed site...

    Parrallax?!?!?!?

I have managed to make it to the age of 48 years, a shooter for most of them, without yet having a good handle on parrallax. I have read a number of times what it is, but if someone asked me right now to explain it to them, I couldn't. I have over time had a few "big bore" scopes mounted on...

I have a problem with weapon mounted lights

If this is one of those subjects that have been cussed and discussed here many times before, forgive me as I obviously missed it. Weapon mounted lights seem to be quite popular these days. Handguns, Rifles and Shotguns all have mounting systems for the hot new extra bright and durable...

    Weatherby,Howa recall/safety issue?

One of the guys at work today was saying something about there being a saftey issue or perhaps recall on Howa rifle bolts. Actually I think it was the Weatherby Vanguard, but isnt that and the Howa 1500 the same thing?

870 gained weight? (or mid-life crisis!)

Just got back from a great weekend of pheasant hunting. Met some old friends and made some new ones. We all met at a hunting camp/outfitter and for me it was like being pampered at a five star hotel. Biscuits and gravey, scrambled eggs and hash browns for breakfast, Stew and sandwiches for lunch...

    336 Marlin VS Win 94

First of all, every time I see a "this" vs "that" thread I kind of cringe knowing that many times they end up in a war. I don't want that to happen here. I would like to know from people who have owned both of these rifles, or who own both currently, what they liked or disliked about each...

    Double Whammy

Yep, kind of trumatic when the THR goes down for a while. And is it just me, or is Rimfirecentral down too?

    Mauser 48/98 Peep Site

Is anyone making a peep site that mounts behind the stripper clip for a Mauser 48? I would like to mount a peep on the rear of the receiver but retain the use of stripper clips. Oh, really don't want to do any milling on the receiver. Yes I am aware of the Mojo's, but would rather have...

    auditory occlusion

What I know about auditory occlusion I have learned by reading Massad Ayoob's "Ayoob Files" in the American Handgunner Magazine over the years. For those of you who have never heard of auditory occlusion, it is when shots are fired under life and death stress situations, but you are not...

    Stevens 410

Hoping to find a bit of info on a Stevens break open single shot 410 patented in August 1913 according to the stamp on the top of the barrel. The only number that can be found anywhere is under the forearm on the barrel. It is simply the number 47. Is that a model number, or serial number? I...

    Yale's "social issue" survey--second try

Ok, lets try this one. Like I said before, I am not sure what to think about these online surveys so check it out and decide for yourself. http://islandia.law.yale.edu/ss/wsb.dll/braman/survey4.htm (link fixed)

    question for Savage lovers

I love my 110 in 7-08. It has a fine trigger and groups great. An all around keeper. My ONLY pet peeve with it is the tang safety. It is just plain a pain with cold gloved hands. I thought about attaching some sort of nub on it for added surface area to push on, but the bolt passes to close...

    Ruger 77 comment

Ruger 77 coment I have been digging through some of my old "American Rifleman" magazines and reading Finn Aagaard articles. I liked his style. Anyway I have noticed on several ocasions he has spoken highly of the Ruger 77 rifle and had a number of them. Just got me to thinking that it seems...
