I started a thread 5 years ago on the castboolits site about a few new old stock sealed cans of Hercules powder that were given to me, mid 60's vintage, along with a partial 12 lbs. carboard container of Red Dot, probably 80's vintage. Smelled the Red Dot and it smelled and looked fine.....shot...
I had a Beretta 92 FS that the frame had a piece break off where the slide comes back and impacts it. It was a late 80's early 90's auto that was a gift to my then girlfriend. Many tens of thousands of rounds thru it. Beretta told me they considered it to have reached its end of life. I have...
I picked up a nice used Rainbow years ago specifically to capture the tumbler dust off my Dillon media sifter. I made a hood for the sifter out of a big cardboard box and put a hole for the hose to fit into and turn the Rainbow on while rotating the media sifter....works great. I got my...
I would venture to guess you'de save about half of retail for your reloads versus buying factory ammo if you get components in bulk quantity.....at any given time. Ammo manufacterers make a profit over what they have invested in the combined components used to make their ammo and for the most...
I feel the same way and am also fortunate to have brothers who use my reloads and appreciate the effort involved. They all pitched in to get the Giraud and man is it a load off my fingers!!
I have had good service from them the few times I have needed service. I had the grip portion of the bolt on a MKII pistol break off and they replaced it. I had them replace the entire top end on another MKII pistol I bought used.
The round that appeared to slam fire may have just been a bit sensitive from having been previously struck....this is the reason I don't use a kinetic bullet puller to further aggitate a round previously primer struck.
The website may show the total with shipping and hazmat, but they will not actually charge it. I ordered 10K of the Tualammo primers and the same thing happened to me. The invoice shipped with the primers showed the hazmat ans shipping waived....fear not ....they are straight shooters..
Try pushing the handle all the way in the closed position before entering the code and hold it there if it tends to naturally come off that point. When you enter the code you'll here a click sound, then try unlocking the handle. The mechanism seems to need some positive pressure in that...
Quote "Damn I wish I had known that. I just bought 9000 Tulas from PV and about 20lbs of powder. I didn't see anything on their webpage about it (but then again I wasn't looking)."
Rvenick....Just call them and add another 1000 Tula primers to your order to get the customer appreciation price.
I felt better when I was lifting. I think the weights improve your grip strength, which should put off the muscle tremors one gets when grip fatigued sets in. It won't necessarily help with flinching, but I think it doesn't hurt it any. I solid shooting position helps manage recoil better in...
Powder Valley has a deal right now where you buy 10k of the Tual primers, they pay shipping AND hazmat and you can add powder or additional primers up to the weight limit for a single hazmat order.

If I hadn't gotten my 1050 used for cheap years back, I would still be using the two 650 presses that I also got cheap used. After trying the 1050 out I fell in love with the priming versus the method used on their other presses. That small bit of motion savings really makes it quicker in my...
Had one and sold it off. Shot high for me even with the sight all the way down. Other thing was the steel slide stop started to really ding up and raise a bur on the spot on the aluminum slide where it enagaged upon slide lock. Fun kit, but I didn't use it enough to justify keeping it. I had...
