Found this - possible to make?

Not a gunsmith but, where is the disconnect? It looks like it might not reset the hammer/sear if the trigger was held down. I can't say if this would result in semi or auto operation but most common semi autos have a disconnect to keep it one shot per trigger pull. :)

    10/22 Glass bedding an action

The stock has a shelve at the rear that accepts the trigger group/reciever in such a way to prevent this. Check out these folks they are 10/22 experts. http://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=116

Found a Ruger carbine in .40 cal - good deal for $325?

Not even close. 10/22 standard introduced 1964. IIRC PC9 intro 1996. They only share an appearance and the fact that both are blow back type actions. They are not the same at all.:)

MGM barrels any good for a tc contender?

I have a couple of MGM barrels for the Contender. One is a tack driver and the other is the worst shooting barrel I have ever experienced. They have replaced the bad one and it is still not a good shooter although much better than the original. Service is hit or miss. I missed. :(

Scope Bases for A savage mk. II

EGW, Evolution Gun Works. One piece and good looking. Usually separate mounts for 93's will bolt on. The one piece type come in MKll and 93 due to port length differences. :)

How to react to a death threat

When someone makes a verbal death threat in person I laugh it off. You are there they are there and no death is occuring. That is as close and easy they will ever have at killing me after that it gets harder to kill me. I usually tell them to come on over. You should not be affected by people...

    Setting up metal targets

A couple of things will make your steel shooting safer. 1. Get AR400 or AR500 steel once they get pock marked they are unsafe. 2. Shoot lead or plated bullets at moderate to spiffy speeds no high speed or low speed rounds, no jacketed. 3. Angle the steel top forward, toward you a slight...

Shot w/pellet gun on bike - now open carrying!

You are not much of a reader. I said for an "argument". Where did I say that was what actually happened to the OP. It was an example of what happens when gun crazed individuals go shooting at fleeing vehicles. Where do you get this stuff. :)

Shot w/pellet gun on bike - now open carrying!

This is not the same as moving on a bicycle and you being shot at from behind with a quiet pellet gun, as a surprise. You even said "stand there". Do you have eyes in the back of your head to see said person aiming a gun at you? Standing is not moving with your assailant coming from behind or...

    internet security cameras

On my system it takes a minute to access the digital system over the home network. That is why I have a hot video feed, of the multicam screen, in each room and on both TVs, they can be fast to access. When I want to monitor the system full time I can make it picture in picture when watching the...

There is some good advice here. I have a 5 camera system that can be viewed and reviewed over the net. It is PC based. The best low light cameras I have found are these. http://www.supercircuits.com/Security-Cameras/Fixed-Security-Cameras/PC164CEX-2 Here are a couple of vids taken with these...

Anyone have a Ruger PC 9 carbine

Other than exterior looks there is nothing the same as a 10/22 inside the PC9/PC4. The blowback system is completely different. It is a crude, reliable, easy to shoot, fun and compact rifle. It uses readily available P series 9mm/40S&W pistol mags. There are some aftermarket hicap mags...

    Southern California shooting ranges

I go to most of the outdoor ranges in the SoCal area. I don't know of a one that prohibits steel case ammo. The prohibition is on projectiles containing steel. Not the steel case ammo with copper jacketed non steel bullets. I think you are confused. This is a fire prevention thing. :)

    Is this normal?

The shiney place in the extractor grove is normal. This is where the extractor parks when the slide is forward it wipes itself clean. The spot above the chamber can't be seen well but if the gun loads and extracts ok it is not an issue. Dry firing is ok with this gun. While cleaning inspect the...

    5.7 x 28

The Redding trimmer has the universal collet and most of these have trouble going as small as the 5.7X28mm rim size. I am using a Lyman Accutrimmer that uses shell holders and with the shaft for a small powered screwdriver. Trimming may not be needed for the brass fired in a rifle I don't know...
