    Elmer Keith

 What was the minimum Keith held for BIG game, Elk and so on. .33 cal., 250 grains, ?. Was it 2200 FPS? Me and a friend are "discussing" this. He say 2500. I say 2200. A walk to the store depends on this. ;)

    M-99

Looking to find out when my Old Man's rifle was made. .308 with a rotary mag, slide-lock safety. Oh yeah...S/N 9587xx. I know it was after '51 because I checked the savage99.com sight. If this is the wrong place, who should I ask?

    3-inches

I've got my .308, and we're going to sight my Grandson's '06 3" high at 100 yds. It's worked for me, but I'd like some other opinions.

    The Cowboys

I watched The Cowboys tonight, with my 13 year old Grandson. He got right into it. There is still hope for the future. Tomorrow night he wants to watch True Grit. His birthday is coming, now he wants a S.A. :D :D :D

    .338-74 Keith

Elmer was one of my favorites, I still read everything of his I can find. He liked the .33 cals. and I remember his stories about necking the 9.3-74 down to .33 for single-shots. 4" long IIRC. Anybody here have any experience with this? A friend will sell me a #1 action cheap and if I get it I...

    Jeff Cooper's "Baby"

I remember an article in a gun rag, maybe 20 years ago, about a heavy rifle that Cooper had made for him. Some wildcat or other. Been looking through my old mags (they just get lost, I never toss 'em on purpose :D ) and I can't find it. Had a safari report on it. Don't nobody waste no time...

    $700 and a .30-06

It's something from Jeff Cooper, a poem? But thats all I remember. My g'daughter just got a Ruger '06 and I was trying to think of that to explain her good taste to her husband. He thought she should of got a .243, being a woman and all.

    Remington 341-P Sportmaster

Am I the only one that owns one? It's a full-sized rifle from pre-WWII. My Dad taught me how to shoot with it. And if I do my part, it'll still hold it's own. It came with peeps (gone) but now it's got an old Weaver 4X scope. It's deadly accurate. .22 S, L, LR with a tube mag. Bolt-action. Made...
