Would any of you feel comfortable carrying cocked and locked 1911 just tucked in waistband, no holster? My concern would be thumb safety coming off. I know there's still the grip safe, sometimes I don't like fiddling with a holster.:scrutiny:

I'm considering applying Brownell's gun kote to a Kahr k40 stainless. When they say dissasemble does this mean fieldstrip or completely dissasemble, ie. firing pin, springs etc.?:confused:Anyone have any personal experience. Can it safely be baked on in gas oven?

My p90 and p95 are both excellent guns IMHO. utterly reliable ruger strong. They are bulky, but you'd be suprised what you can conceal. I'm 140 lbs. soak and wet and I used to carry a gp100 with 4" barrel. You just have to dress for it.:)

Hi, could someone explain to me the difference between the Remington 870 Tactical and the 870Police. I know that the tactical has 'tactical' on the receiver and has factory 2 shot extention, remchoke breacher tube, also has the gun metal powder coat finish which is suppose to be more durable finish.

taking look at plug You know, I finally did take the plug out and looked at it. It does seem pretty obvious that on #2 setting the beveled side of plug is directly over gas port on barrel, allowing more gas through.:o I think what was throwing me off was when screwed in all the way then backing...

hi lipadj46, I guess I'm confused because when it's screwed in all the way then when backing it out the first notch to come up is the #2 which is suppose to allow more gas to cycle bolt. If I back it out more to notch #1 isn't that allowing more? I appologize for sounding ignorant.

I'm wondering about using buffer shields on saiga 12 shotgun. It seems like a good idea on the one hand ie. increasing life of gun, but I have read that it can cause a host of problems of it's own. If it causes less pounding and wear on gun that sounds good. But you have to wonder if its needed...

I recently bought an 870 express (HD purpose only) with 2 rd. extention. Haven't shot it yet but most people seem to reccomend against the pistol grip. Does that apply even if it has the knox compensating grip stock as well?
