The stock on my 870 has lost almost all of its shine. It was my own fault, I had stored it in a walmart case which absorbed all the oil. I've tried going over it with rem oil pads several times but it has not absorbed it. What should I do?

Hey guys. I've got a Remington Speedmaster 552 that needs reassembling. When I go to put the trigger group back it goes in fine. However, when I rack it the bolt doesn't stay open (not sure if it's supposed to). Then, the triggers pulls back just a tiny bit. No click or break in the pull. Any ideas?
