    Temperature problems?

I was shooting my 222 Remington today and have noticed that the cases coming out showed some flattening of the head stamp. Is S&B Brass. well what do you think of it?

I have had a lot of split necks with S&B brass using their 6.5x55 ammo. Sometimes jsut after the first firing. The 303 brass you are using would happen to be in a Enfield? If so the are notorious for eating up poor quality brass. Even good brass does not last in them very long.

    Winchester Model 52c

The rifle needs restoration one way or another. But it looks like it will remain a target rifle with most of it's original hardware intact. It needs a new blue job because of rust and a new stock because the original is broken. Staying close to original seems the plan now.
