    Junkyard Load

Hello All, Like many of you I am running out of supplies with no relief in sight so I'm digging around and trying to conjure up something useful with what is remaining. I have 500 rounds of mixed headstamp 9mm and 1LB of TiteGroup so I prepped and primed the cases with CCI 550 magnum primers...

9mm Score - well maybe, sorta

I recently bought a large quantity of pulled 9mm jacketed (not plated) bullets. It includes all sorts of weights and all sorts of configurations. A statistically valid sample was measured with a micrometer and found all sample units to be 0.3550 to 0.3552 in diameter. I plan on treating all...

    Retirement Planning

I wanted to get most of my reloading needs taken care of before I retired when my wife's and my income will drop. I'm nearly there. But during the shortages of the last few years, I was in the mode of "see powder, buy powder" and so I've got something of a mixed bag when it comes to pistol...

    Magnus Bullets

About two years ago, now, I bought a box of 115 grain jacketed hollow-point bullets for 9mm from the Magnus Bullet company. The bullets looked great but I was concerned that they were all measuring 0.3555 or larger, many 0.356. I contacted them and they said to just use jacketed load data like...

    9mm C.O.L.

I am getting ready to start working up a 9mm Luger load using HP-38 with some 115 grain bulk bullets that I bought some time ago. The bullets look like Hornady XTP bullets except that the transition from the body of the bullet to the ogive is not quite as abrupt as on the Hornady. The bullets...

    9mm Bullet Weights

When I read about 9mm Luger loads, I seem to see more conversations involving 124 grain (8.0 gram) bullets rather than 115 grain (7.5 grain). Don't most military loads use 115 grain bullets? Do more civilian shooters use 124 grain than 115 grain? If so, is it just a question of personal...

    Effect of wind on bullets

I know wind messes with bullets on their way to a target, but I was wondering if one was shooting 115gr 9mm @ 7 yards, how fast of wind would it take to move the bullet off course? Not sure if this is the right forum but it's a start :)
