I think it would be useful to have a collection thread of pictures on THR of vintage reloading components, equipment, presses, molds, scales, and similar items. Each year that goes by there are fewer out in circulation, and this would be a way to pass on the history to the next generation. I...
I have a .38S&W Lovell Iver Johnson .38S&W top break revolver.
Antique firearm, in excellent shape, except for one catch..well rather latch...
It is missing the button/latch to hold the topbreak shut.
It appears to be a more elusive revolver than most other topbreaks.

I know i have posted this before but would really like some help finding one of these. Very unique shotguns and one I’ve been looking to get for a long time. I’ve searched rock island, morphys, gun broker, guns international/America, gun auction. Mechanically they are neat and aren’t too...
Hello everyone, hope you're doing ok in these crazy times.

I cannot find anything about this, its similar to the s&w 3rd model hammerless, but still has a visible hammer and I have thus far been stumped. Anyone know about this?

Hey all,
I picked up a Chilean 1895 Mauser in 7x57 today at the gun show - serial # L68XX. Hope to use it as a deer rifle, along with enjoying its role as an antique firearm.
Anyone have additional info on this rifle? Its historical role, commonality - I'm here to learn.
Thanks,
Leif

Well for years now I've known about a old family gun that I hoped to have one day, well that day was today! My great great grandfather, who I was named after, bought it (presumably new) when he was 16 in 1892. Well for the rest of his life he used it for hunting.
I'm not really sure if he left...
