I bought this tool many years ago. Subsequently I bought and sold a Super 1050 with the built in primer pocket swager. Now, this morning, I'm preparing some of my .mil brass, and after setting it up to swage 308, I just have to say, this is a super tool.

If any of you shoots .mil brass with the crimped in primer pocket, this will be the best $100 you will spend.

Regards,
Stubb.

I only recently acquired a Super Swage. I can do a piece of brass about every three seconds. Love it. I checked out the YouTube clips of the mods. I'm going just about as fast as those guys using the springs and rubber bands.

I managed to find one in stock a few months ago at Grafs and I am so glad I picked it up. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the investment because I don't use a crazy amount of military brass but I took the dive anyways. I pounded out 2k of 223 like it was nothing! Plus, you can do it while watching the ball game on TV since it is such a repetitive task.

I bought a Dillon Model 600 swager a few months ago and I am having trouble.

No matter how I adjust it and even ream the same case numerous times, I cant get primers to seat using once fired military 223/556 brass.

Only after I use a 45 degree cutter chucked into a drill press and then swage the case using the Dillon can I seat primers.

Calling Dillon is a 2 hour deal now, so I will wait a few months and call them.

Can you post photos of how you have yours set up? There is no reason you should have top ream the primer pockets after swaging them with this tool. I have done over 20K worth of .223 with mine and have never had to ream the pockets. With the handle all the way down (past center) there should be less than 1/8" between the tip of the rod that holds the brass and the swaging rod. Close up photos might help. What type of primers are you using? I use both CCI and Win and have no problems using military brass.

^Could be the batch of primers. I have chamfered quite a few uncrimped 308 cases to help my WLRP find the pocket.
