OK, AB. I have taken the plunge & ordered this, should have it by Friday. I also won the bid on a Bushnell Elite 3200, 5X15X50 AO. I now believe I have a rig that will far outshoot this old man. I will post pics when received, assembled & sighted.

My backyard coons, Dillos & tree rats are now on notice!!!

Great choice on both the rifle and the scope. My only suggestion is that if you are shooting at a variety of distances that you may want to use either an adjustable v-block, burris signature rings with offset inserts, or both. The 3200 line is somewhat limited on total adjustment vertically and if you go from shooting short distance to medium distances to long distances, depending on where your zero sits in the adjustment range, you may run out of adjustment. I don't know if the magnum research rifle comes with an adjustable block or not but this would allow you to push the barrel up a little, and the burris rings would allow you to angle the scope down anywhere from 0-20 MOA without placing any bind on the scope. The two of these together should allow you to zero at a decent spot in the adjustment range allowing you to adjust to point of impact all the way from up close to way out there.

I am not settled on what distance to zero, or even what loads this rig will like best. I have another target .22, and have it zeroed @ 50 yrds. I am likely to do the same with this rig, as that will encompass most of my shooting. The 15X was actually a pretty good deal, I do not need this much magnification for head shooting tree rats, but it won't hurt. Actually, with my eyes, maybe I do!
