.45 ACP. I've got a conversion cylinder for my Blackhawk, a Charter Arms Pitbull snubby, and 4 1911s. I also load and shoot a bunch of .357 mag. Don't want or need another caliber.

Just speaking of the cartridges, 45 acp is a great round, 10mm is an awesome round.
I carried either a Dan Wesson government or CCO model 1911 on the ranch every day for 20 years.

During that time I shot an antelope that had been hit by a car and left to die. I shot it in the back of the head from about 20 yards. The bullet blew both eyes out of theit sockets.

I Shot a 800 pound heifer under the same circumstances. Her hips were broken and she was “sitting“ on her butt and couldn’t move. I shot her from the front and it knocked her over backwards.

I knocked a coyote flat that was biting at the nose of a calf that was half way out of it’s mother during birth from 75 yards.

I have no idea how many varmints I killed over the years. I did however park the 10mms when I retired and moved to town. They were too much horsepower and penetration for CCW in a suburban area.

i went with a good old Colt Defender 45 for city living.

I’m on a 10mm kick lately. And if we can get enough people on board, the price should come down to .45 levels!
I got my first 10mm (a Kimber TLE II) in 2020 half on a whim and half cause the was ammo on the shelves for it at the time. I have since found myself gravitating more towards the 10mm for EDC Instead of my first love the 45acp.

This was a tough decision for me due to a love of both. However, at the end of the day I'd go with the 10mm simply because the versatility of the round. From self defense against two legged and four legged furry predators to hunting for the table the 10mm can do both a little better in my humble opinion. *I almost felt a tinge of guilt writing that. Plus I already own a revolver in 45acp.

I wonder if they'll ever bring out a 10mm auto rim like they did for the 45acp wheel guns.

Perhaps I'm biased as I would think a 10mm Magnum rim would be a better choice for a rimmed cartridge given it is quite powerful and power is generally what sells revolvers in today's world. The 10mm Auto Rim would find little acceptance as the rimless version is always going to be more common, cheaper, and thus popular. The 10mm Mag tho, that has never been popular in an autoloader, but it's also never been chambered in a production revolver. Given that 10mm Mag is far more powerful than .357 or 10mm Auto is and can be fitted into a medium frame .357 revolver, I think the 10mm Mag could gain a following and since there are so few autoloaders in the chambering, why not make the 10mm Mag with a rim?

To put it bluntly: I'm never going to buy a .41 Magnum because I have no use for a .41 Magnum, but since I own 10mm and .40 pistols, I am interested in a revolver that can shoot those calibers, however if I'm going to spend money on that, I want the option to shoot higher power ammo thru it. I don't want a .41 or a .44 Mag because I don't want another caliber I have to reload and the .45 revolvers are too large for my liking, but a 10mm Magnum revolver would be absolutely perfect.
