10mm?

I carry a bone stock G20 gen 3 in a safariland 6378 in the spring. Highest black bear population in the country here. And they are cranky in the spring after hibernating, Plenty of scat and tracks on the mountain side. I want the extra popcorn it has over a 9mm when dealing with a cranky bear.

Always have wanted to visit Maine in the fall, but that's my busy time of the year. I've always imagined it to be similar to the Oregon Coast.

Maine is a state one just does not hear much about. Sounds like a plus to me.

That used to be how Idaho was growing up, now not so much; everyone moving here.

some of the cities can be pretty bad. Not the maine life style. But we live in a small town on a mountain. Its perfect. And the land on 3 sides is a nature preserve that stretches 3 towns. So i will always have a place to hunt and shoot. Its being built up at a very fast pace. Almost all the hunting area’s have been shut down from people moving in from mass and ny. Its a crap show right now. Visit sooner then later.

I have been carrying the 10mm for about 20 years. It makes a good field pistol and mine has taken a lot of game. My original rig is a Tauris Holsters Rancher model https://www.taurisholsters.com/rancher.cfm . It has stood the test of time, is comfortable and quick enough when needed.

A while back, I bought a police trade-in 21 upper to throw on the 20 frame and ended up with one of the sweetest shooting .45's in my safe.

Recently I added a Diamond D Alaskan Hip Holster. I like how the belt loop system is adjustable and able to be mounted on my pack's waist band.

All in all it is a very versatile system and has been a good friend on many adventures.

I’ve seen a few online places selling the smith m&p2.0 in 10mm for $549-$599 as a bundle. Includes 5 mags and some other $&-t I don’t care about (bag and paddle holster?).

That’s before the $100 smith rebate. I’m tempted.

That’s a better deal then I got purchasing mine under the LEO program. $549 and only 2 mags….:(

Been fiddling with 10mms since 1991 … started w/a Gen-1 Glock 20, which was replaced by Gen-2, that was replaced w/a Gen-3, which was replaced by a Gen-4 40 MOS, that was upgraded by adding Bar-Sto 10mm & 9x25 barrels.
Love an arched msh on all my 1911’s
In 1994 I picked up an early Kimber EC2 & a couple years back, a Sig P220 Match Elite Reverse.

Most recently, I heard about (RIA-built) Taylor’s & Co. 10mms that Palmetto St Armory had on sale … went to the PSA site, him-hawed, then backed out of the T & Co. page & was presented with an additional 5% off pop-up. Picked up the 10mm for a mere $379 + shipping.

Upon receiving the Taylor’s 10, I added the following: an RIA 40 S&W barrel & recoil assy; a flat-base FP stop; an arched MS housing; Mec-Gar 40 & 10 mags; and just yesterday, I replaced the ambi-thumb safeties with USGI-style safety & then added a pair of Colt double diamonds. I value & am every bit as pleased with that Taylor’s as I am of any of the aforementioned 10mms.
Taylor’s & Co…
