I was the lucky recipient of some .277 Accubond LR's from the Pay it forward..( Thanks again Shanghai McCoy)
It's been noted here that these bullets and very long and are difficult to stabilize in a 1 in 10" barrel. Well, I'm going to give it a try and I'd appreciate any advice or tips anyone may have.
Touching the lands on my rifle with this bullet gives an OAL of 3.50, so I'm thinking I'll start with an OAL of 3.48". I have RL26 powder that I'll start the load workup at around 56.0 grains.
If I can't get a good load in my 270 I'll put the remaining bullets back on the Pay it Forward.
I'm hoping to draw a cow elk tag this year and I'd love to use this bullet.
