OK,couldn't find the "Pay it forward" thread so, for any of you long distance 270 guys, I'm offering up 79 Nosler Accubond L/R 150gr spitzer bullets.
Loonwolf sent them to me a longish while back but I won't be using them so who's next..?
First "I'll take them" gets them.

I'll take them!!!

For those who aren't familiar with these bullets but are tempted to take them, you might want to check the twist on your barrel first. These are long bullets and some standard .270 barrels won't stabilize them adequately. At least, that was my experience with them...

Thanks for the heads up. My model 700 shoots the Nosler 150 BT well so I think these will shoot well also. I've got some RL26 that will push them nicely. I won't be able to report my results until spring or summer when I can get out and shoot 300 or more yards.

Yep, it's possible. But the ABLR 150s are at least .040" longer than the BTs - which may or may not make a difference for you.

Nosler lists the 150 BT length as 1.350 inches on their website and the 150 ABLR as 1.390 inches. But the box of 150 ABLR's that I have actually measure 1.415 inches long which is quite a bit longer.

I bought that box shortly after they came out, so it is possible that they have been shortened since introduction - who knows... I tried them in my Rem 700 270WSM with 1-10 twist and wasn't able to get them to group well at all. Just my experience in one rifle, though...

That is a loooong bullet for sure. Well I'll have fun developing a load and if I can't get them to shoot well I'll put them back on the Pay it Forward. (Less 15 or 20 bullets):)
