I should be ordering a daisy 853, if there open on Monday. We're is the best place to buy pellets, I know I should buy a few to try and see what the gun likes. This is just a fun plinker so cheaper the better but still like to see what it can do. I think I remember reading the one daisy pellet is pretty good for the money.

so any help is appreciated.

I went through this recently, but I'm very inexperienced with air guns. I got a list of recommended pellets from the seller and I order all of those I could find from Pyramid.
Besides the new rifle, I had an old Gamo Whisper that I'd had for ages. Bottom line, and this is just in my two springers, Crosman Premier hollow points and destroyers grouped the best and most consistent. Your rifle could be completely different.
I had an old tin of Daisys and they were really bad - loose fit in the chamber and 4"+ at 25 yards.
Others that were recommended and tried were RWS Hobby, H&N Excite, JSB Exact Diabolo, H&N Baracuda Hunter, and Gamo Hunter. All were decent.

Since even a fairly expensive tin of pellets is still less than half the price of .22lr I have never been too concerned about price of a tin. But then I only shoot .177 and I don't buy the really exotic stuff that sells in tins of 200. I have grown into a big fan of H&N stuff. I have found several different H&N pellets that make my rifles happy. I usually use Pyramidair and use their buy four tins and pay for three offer.

Thanks I remember using beeman for practice in jrotc, the good stuff was weight sorted and in its own foam. I like the wad cutters don't see any reason to use other types. I'll get 4 or 5 and try them, maybe they have a most popular search.

Crossman brown box premiers, and JSB exacts, are generally my first and last stops for pellets. There are plenty of others that shoot well, but Ive never seen the CPs or Exacts do poorly.

I remember long ago some crossmans shooting good, I have never used jsb but always hear good stuff. They make a lot of pellets in that little Czech republic factory. I'll try a few and see how they shoot,

Crossman wadcutters, RWS Diablo basics are my favorite for what you are looking for at this point. Your rifle is a low powered target rifle. These should work fine for the cost. Later if you decide and want total precision, check back in.

Here is a great way to train. I call it wind shooting. I do this with a gun similar to yours, a low powered target rifle.

Pick a day when there is a light breeze. FOCUS on the CENTER of the leaf Vein.
Wait patiently for the leaf to make a split second stop and then shoot.
It takes patience, timing and knowing your gun.
Notice I was using Crosman Wads on this day.

I have a 22 pump pistol at my dads, it's a crossman and pretty accurate but haven't shot it in years. I wouldn't mind getting a 22 air rifle for up at my dads, since he is just in the village and there's all kinds of stuff in the garden.
Ive got a little pump up carbine you can have if you want. Its been years since i used it regularly so it probably needs a rebuild....its actually probably built on the same gun as your pistol, a cross man 1322.
I found some bullets i need to send you anyway.

Cool, didn't they make a cool back pack rifle with a removable stock.

If you had a .22 id give you a pile, last time i ordered i bought something like 8000.

still got about 1k left.

these guys are the ones i used to shoot before switching to the jsbs.
they also come in 10gr .177s, but most single stroke pneumatics do better with the lighter pellets.

I've Hurd the rounded points are good for longer shoots.I would like to stretch out the daisy and see what it can do at 20 yards of more.

thanks

JSB, H&N are top shelf. Crosman Premier IN THE BROWN BOX are great pellets.

Many, Many articles about the quality of the BROWN BOX. Pyramid Air use to have a deal of buy any three Tins (or Box) of pellets and get one free. I shot about a million of the Brown Box. The are a cut above all Crosman Pellets.

I buy Straight shooters pellet sampler in both Calibers and Chrony out of many guns and shoot for accuracy. Also get the JSB samplers . RWS makes some great pellets as well. A good light Pellet is the JSB EXACT Diablo.

RWS Miesterglugein s are great in Pistols.

Who makes these? Bet ya can't guess.
