It was made in 1855 after Johnson broke off from the Aston Co. It is .54 caliber and we used Hornady Balls over 30 ffg with oxyoke patches. Velocities are in the mid 500 fps range. Trigger is heavy- possibly ten pounds and there is no rear sight. This one hit center and about 5 inches over the front sight as we heald it.

Pretty good for a smooth bore pistol. We were handing it back and forth with one shooter firing three shots with two hands and the other firing two shots one handed. One of the holes accounts for two balls.
