Random Guy
I have been out of the BP loop for around 15 years and I was thinking about getting back in with an 1851 Navy. Anyway I was looking around at some different brands and of course I was looking hard at the ones in Cabela's because they are so much cheaper than most others.
I have a friend that told me he ordered on several years ago and in less than 50rnds it "fell apart all the guts just fell out." He actually offered to give me the gun, but I'm unsure if I could find quality parts and he said it had been beaten up pretty bad over the years. I have also read the reviews on the Cabelas site, they seem to positive but some negative feedback is in there, and I don't really trust them anyway because I believe most people write the reviews after only a little shooting.
So my basic question is are they of good quality or should I save up for a better one.
By the way, what happened to the Uberti's? In 2003 1851's were $219 now they are over $500, has 2003 been that long?
