I craft custom BP revolver full flap holsters that I occasionally share pictures of here. But right now only have my four Ruger Old Armys (three 7 1/2 inch adjustable sight, one 7 1/2 inch fixed sight---love them all) and my little NAA Super Companion. These aren't enough different model guns to meet the requests I have begun receiving at the art and craft shows my lovely Miss Penny and I participate in each fall.
I'm buying two Spanish Denix non-firing replicas (1860 Colt Army and 1851 Colt Navy)that I can use for holster patterning, molding and photography. I hope they are dimensionally accurate. I'm in need though of an 1858 Remington for the same purposes, and I don't see one made by Denix.
What's a good way to obtain a used, even non-working 1858 Remington revolver to use for patterning and photography folks? Ask here to buy a parts box "junker"? I may have a line on a brass frame Pietta specimen but the fella who has it seldom sells anything.
I plan to check Gunbroker soon but thought I'd ask here for suggestions first. Thank you. Don
