I'm looking to pick up some 1911 magazines who makes some good ones 7 rounders
Metalform and Checkmate make them under license for Colt, and Mec-Gar, of course.I'm looking to pick up some 1911 magazines who makes some good ones 7 rounders
Currently, Ed Brown uses CheckMate mags.Metalform 7rd magazines with the convex follower. These are the magazines Ed Brown send out with his 1911s
Colt hasn't made magazines in decades. They've been contracted through a variety of suppliers over the years. You never really know what you're going to get when you order a Colt mag (not counting all the fakes that are out there).LUCKYDAWG13
Have always had totally reliable results with Colt magazines.

I use the same magazines in my Ruger SR1911 in 9mm so far I have had no issues with them either I was thinking about getting them but dont want toMy experience is with 9mm, but I would guess similar advice would hold for .45. I really like the Brownell’s store brand mags. They are made by a major producer. No malfunctions with any of the four I bought for $99/free shipping.
Thank you.Currently, Ed Brown uses CheckMate mags.
That is the gun I use them in too. Just mark the different mags with a white paint marker to identify the caliber.I use the same magazines in my Ruger SR1911 in 9mm so far I have had no issues with them either I was thinking about getting them but dont want to get them mixed up
It is pretty easy to tell the difference between a 9mm 1911 mag and a .45 ACP 1911 mag without having to mark them. That is the gun I use them in too. Just mark the different mags with a white paint marker to identify the caliber.
